[MoFA]Ambassador Programme

Day 937, 05:11 Published in Norway Norway by Norwegian Consulate
Ambassadors are vital in connecting the nations of the eWorld. While the governments play a great part in their foreign relations, under it all, pulling the strings are the ambassadors who keep the government informed about all the events and goings ons in other countries. In this article I hope to attract you to the prospect of becoming an ambassador.

As I have said above, ambassadors are vital in the forging and maintaining relations with other countries. However, with a small country like ours, it is harder to find those who are willing to participate in becoming an ambassador that are not already involved in other aspects of political or economic life in the country, and would not feel that such a move would be beneficial to them.

However, I believe such a move would, as it would increase the players reputation both in eNorway and in the country they are ambassador to. This could mean, if you are interested in politics, you could become more trusted by the current politicians and be more likely to receive a position in government. If you are interested in the economic side of the game, you could forge business interests in other nations. As well as the vast amount of knowledge you can learn about the eWorld.

What do I have to do to become an ambassador?

Well, first think you have to do is to contact the current Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sigurd Aasen, where you can send a PM to show your interest on becoming an ambassador.

You may also want to read the rules and duties of ambassadorship.

I will be expecting a weekly update from each ambassador. These reports should contain information about important battles, economy, political life, etc. All appointed ambassadors will receive a check list from me with directions on what to keep an eye on and where to find info. Any additional topics about the various countries an ambassador may wish to add will of course be just fine.

For each week of which the ambassador's work is approved, the ambassador will recieve 1 gold in payment. If the duties are well taken care of, it is work. And work should be paid. During this re-launch phase, this gold will be paid by me personally. I will get back to the congress with a budget proposal if this seems to be a good arrangement.

Also, if any ambassador wishes to travel abroad to do their ambassador work, if they feel they can do the job better residing in the country, we shall give you a moving ticket for the trip. We also ask anyone who is planning moving to another country to consider becoming an ambassador of that country. (We shall also give you a free moving ticket if you do).

Who can become an ambassador?

According to §4 Lov om Norges ambassadør program, the ambassador is not required to actually move to said country, or even have residence in eNorway. Visiting national forums, subscribing to relevant newspapers and keep a watch on country events will be sufficient to gather the information needed for the weekly reports.

This means that either you are a member of congress, the government, a worker or a company owner, you can become an ambassador to an assigned country. All you have to do is to send Sigurd Aasen an in-game message with your application. This message should contain up to three of the countries listed below that you would like to become ambassador to, in addition to a !! of why you want to become an ambassador and why you would be the right person for the job.

At current we wish to create ambassadors in EDEN countries, but plan to expand later on. At the moment we need ambassadors in the following countries:

Australia
Bosnia and Herzegovina
Finland
Poland
Romania
Spain
Switzerland

I hope that I have convinced you to become an ambassador. Your services would, as always, be greatly appreciated.

Takk.

Minister of Foreign Affairs,
Sigurd Aasen
