[MIK4CP] My Manifesto

Day 5,796, 07:50 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by Mr Immanuel Kant

Introduction
Following my announcement of my cross party cabinet I am pleased to put forward positive ideas which will benefit the whole of the UK. This article lists the key policies which will form the foundation of my term.

I would ask that people vote not for the political badge that one wears but vote based on the ideas and cabinets which the candidates are putting forward. There is nothing more important than having a strong cabinet and fresh ideas.

This manifesto will be short and to the point if you have any questions or want more information please get in touch. You can find my cabinet here.

1. Maximum Training Wars (TW’s)
As anyone active knows the number of training wars this month has increased under AMD. My policy surrounding training wars is that we should have as many as we can feasibly manage. This is not as simple as some might think and will be achieved working with the expanded MoFA and advice from Rory, our excellent MoD. However we will also be working with the Minister for Finance to calculate which TW’s will deliver the most value for money. We will find the highest achievable number and deliver for citizens.

Already those in my chosen cabinet have identified another new Training War partner and so will be able to hit the ground running from day one with ensuring there are more battles for eUK players. We will also closely monitor these and continue to encourage and publish articles reminding people of what and how they can claim money for keeping these medals for the eUK.

2. Double All MoD Rewards
Given our success this turn in cleaning up our financial situation and buttoning up all our monetary commitments with our Training War partners, we have been able to identify areas in which we can increase our investments in our citizens. I will therefore be doubling our caps on the Air Programme and Weapons Rewards schemes.

This will mean both an increase of 15,000cc to 30,000cc but also a doubling of the rewards per kill from 6cc to 12cc. The Weapon Rewards will also see an increase in the cap, meaning citizens will be able to claim a maximum of 250 Q7 weapons. This will help reward our most active citizens and encourage others to ensure they are fighting as much as possible, strengthening the country as a whole.

We hope in doing this will assist in giving equal opportunity to all citizens and make sure that our resources go to those who’ll use it and that it enhances their enjoyment of the game.

3. National Player Support
If elected I will continue and expand the service on offer. All new players who join the eUK will receive weapons and food (as they do now), they will also be introduced to a mentor who will talk them through the game and offer assistance. All of these new players will be automatically registered with an ongoing energy and weapon subsidy. I’m sure Select28 will be the first to admit that he’s not had much to do this term as Minister of Health. However this term MoH is going to be a crucial ministry!

4. Financial Competency
One of the most important characteristics of a President is financial competency. This month has seen the eUK pay off a number of longstanding debts and chase up money we are owed. If elected I will continue to ensure that we do not allow large debts to our Training War partners build up over time and that each partner is paid or billed at least once in the term. Both Mr Woldy and Huey have agreed to continue in their roles working on our finances to ensure this is a reality. We will continue to act sensibly in spending and investing all reserves.

Where we believe current programs can be bolstered and enhanced, we will explore all funding opportunities before putting consideration into reserve spending, and I expect my MoF to work on proposals for new spending to be developed with Congress to make sure we meet our commitments.

5. Communications and Media
If elected there will be regular media updates from every ministry department. It is probably 3-5 years since we have received a written article from every government department. As a Cabinet we are accountable to the public and so transparency and good communication is essential.

My administration will ensure Finance reports, Player Guides, Entertainment and Games, Foreign Affair Updates, continued MoD updates, Ministry of Health updates and regular CP updates. This work will be supported by Press Secretary and Minister of Communications Gavin.

6. PMQs
Not all candidates agree but I believe that everyone elected is accountable to those who elect them. With this in mind every Wednesday there will be an article published with myself giving an account and answering all questions asked of me. Every single citizen in the eUK regardless of party (or none) will have the opportunity to ask me questions on any issue. This coupled with the cross party advisory Councils (think, focus groups!) will hold me to account.

If me and my team are doing a good job it will be obvious, likewise if we are doing a bad job it will be obvious. This will increase activity and participation across the political spectrum. More importantly, this will provide the opportunity for good ideas to be discussed and developed into being. My hope is this will grow the eUK for the better.

These form the bulk of my ideas for the month ahead. These are all achievable different and good common sense However I am still open to listening to any new ideas you have, so please get in touch if you have any additional thoughts.
Perhaps most importantly, whatever happens in the election we as an eUK need to come together, my aim and focus throughout this campaign has been to build bridges. I will build on the success of the previous term, but I am saddened that a small group of players have come together in the spirit of excluding good candidates rather than in the spirit of promoting talent. We unify around activity and competence not power for the sake of power.

I am proud of my Cabinet choice which stems across the political spectrum wanting to work together for the good of the eUK. Thank you all for being willing to serve.

In Activity, building bridges
