[KSA] New Presidential Term [April 2014]

Day 2,330, 13:37 Published in Saudi Arabia Saudi Arabia by I-G-D

Dear people of eSaudi Arabia,

I’m writing this article to inform you that I’ll be acting as your next Country President from April 6th, ‘til May 6th. I will also talk about my plans, ideas, and aims in general.

Before I start writing, I’d like to talk about the possible “language barrier” I might have with some of you. I fluently speak English and Serbian, and I know some French, so I can talk to you using only these three languages. I don’t speak nor understand any other languages (except the other South Slavic languages). Since English is the most widely spoken language, I will write all of my articles in English. I am aware that some of our players speak only Arabic, and have problems understanding English, so that is why it would awesome if we got the article translated. If you speak both English and Arabic, and have some free time on your hands, you can help me by translating this article. Thanks a lot in advance.

First of all, a few words about me. I know that most of you know me, but the newest players probably don’t, so I do believe a short intro is in order. Well… I am Ivan, I’m 18 years old, and a mathematician in real-life, so if you need help with your maths homework, now you know whom you ought to talk to, haha. Other than that, I enjoy playing video games. I play eRepublik, Guitar Hero, strategy games like Knights of Honor, etc. I’ve been a citizen of eSaudi Arabia for 3 years or so, and I’ve served numerous Government positions, including Country President (10 terms), Vice-President (8 terms), Minister of Foreign Affairs (16 terms). I believe this is enough info for the article. If you want to know more about me, send me a message.

Now, the main part of the article.

The next Government will have a pretty simple structure, because I find it sufficient for all of our needs. We will have a President, a Vice-President and the Advisers in charge of organizing / coordinating everything that’s done in the Government. Other than that, there will be three ministries: Foreign Affairs & Defence, Legislative Affairs, and Social Affairs, run by the most experienced players.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs & Defence is in charge of diplomacy, negotiations with other countries, coordinating the military units, issuing appropriate battle orders when needed, etc.; the Ministry of Legislative Affairs is in charge of making sure the Party President elections go without any problems, helping the Party President elect a suitable Congress, and its duties also include coordination with the Congress itself when it comes to proposing laws; the Ministry of Social Affairs is in charge of helping our new/inexperienced players, writing useful guides/articles, etc.

President: I-G-D
Vice-Presidents: Venrick von Lucia
Advisers: Abdullah Australi, Anakin987, Aramco, KSA Fighter, Molinos Arabes, Virus123, Wars 7

Minister of Foreign Affairs & Defence: Anakin987
Minister of Legislative Affairs: Virus123
Minister of Social Affairs: Venrick von Lucia

These are not all the people in the Government. I haven’t written all the names (the people in the ministries, who aren’t the ministers, but have some other roles). The people who want to work in the Goverment should apply by sending a private message directly to me. State your desired role, past experience, estimated free time, etc. I will write out the full Government list as soon as I go through all the Government applications.

As for my plans, I think the most important thing for us is to make sure our Party President elections are safe and that we have a stable Congress. Bringing new players has always been a priority and if we do that, we can practically do anything else. New players means more voters and more safe Congressmen. But making sure that our new players stay in this game is even more important. It’s easy to spam forums with your referral link, but keeping all those players is hard work. That’s why our mentoring team must be ready to help out our newbs whenever needed. So far we are doing well, but I will try to come up with new / more efficient ways to perform these tasks. As for our foreign affairs, I’m always up for reforming WOLF, but it depends on many key factors. I will write more about this in the next articles, because this issue is still unclear. The only thing that I can say is that my personal foreign affairs policy is the calm one: negotiations and agreements without aggression. We must respect all countries and demand respect in return.

Sorry for writing this article a bit late, but I had a lot of unexpected real life problems. I had to go to another town and stay there for 2-3 days, but now I’m back home. If you have any suggestions, let me know. I’m always up for new ideas. If you don’t speak English, you can talk to any of our Arabic/English bilingual speakers who can translate your message, and notify me about your thoughts.

I-G-D,
President of eSaudi Arabia
