[eUK] May 2015 Congress Election Results - the final results
Neil Lewis
Screenshot taken at 07:58 on Day 2,743:
Early indications have the seats as follows:
The Unity Party - 10
UK Progression Party - 9
Every Single One - 1
UK Reform Party - 8
Worker's Rights Party - 6
British Democratic Party USP - 5
A slightly reduced congress due to TUP having only 10 candidates.
Back after 14:00 BST with further analysis.
No change from the screenshot above; I'm guessing the admins don't actually do anything in those intervening 6 hours now.
We were 2 votes up from last month's turnout.
Here's the results in a different format:
TUP were up 18 votes and would have been up 3 seats if they had had more than 10 candidates. As a result it's a 39 man congress, and TUP only gain 2 seats. UKPP were only down 1 vote and technically lost the seat they gave to ESO last month (sorry CC). UKRP were up 1 vote but are actually down 1 seat as this has gone to ESO (well done Max). WRP lost 4 votes and lost the seat they gave to Woldy last month. BDP/USP are down 12 votes and lost 1 seat.
Here's how the eUK Congress chamber looks for the next month:
And here's your congressmen/women:

Thank you for your timely analysis!

Lovely as always. 🙂
*** UPDATED ***
Hehe, I think if you took away the ESO votes from UKPP then they would have only got 8 seats!
Really? I thought you lot weren't voting out of protest, sounds like glory grabbing.
If your party genuinely voted those 17 or so votes would have got you in. Guess you were wrong in your pessimism throughout voting day...
Well we still got quite a few inactives in which is what I was worrying about yesterday. At least try to keep them active this term.
And 6 votes got you your 9th seat.
6 votes? You lost me buddy. Could you clarify for me?
If you take away six (ESO) votes from UKPP then you would only have 8 seats.
Thanks for clarifying.
You'll have to forgive me, but I find it hard to believe we got any ESO votes. Both yourself and Max were publicly against our list to the point you were making comments you may not even vote UKPP.
Based on how yesterday played out, I don't have the confidence we got a boost from you guys. If we did, then I am grateful.
Well I definitely voted for you guys (in case you are wondering otherwise), and as far as I know at the moment no ESO members actually voted for other parties in protest (I might find out later though, but I haven't heard anything about that yet). Obviously Max didn't vote for you guys, but I can't be sure about anyone else.
I slightly skewed the "party turnout" by adding 1/3 of ESO to UKPP & 2/3 to UKRP as I felt that might be the voting trend.
Don't think anyone thought the sTUPid drones would be back to bugger things up and grab a bigger share of the vote than they had candidates for.
if just 5 votes had gone from TUP to UKPP, we'd have had a full 40-man congress and CC would've got his seat.
So we are blaming TUP, right?
Ah so ESO all voted for UKPP despite UKRP putting your candidate in 4th place? selfish f*cks
Adastros, if you split the ESO votes then you both got like 6 votes (I think CD told me yesterday we had like 13 active members, not sure if that's true). Nobody actually knows who voted for who. You might have voted BDP for all I know 😮
Actually if you crunch the numbers we would have needed to lose 8 votes to lose that seat. I have a googledoc spreadsheet where I keep track.

If you are under a seat then the party closest to that seat gets it... so you could be at 8.5 and get 9 seats, just like you can be at 9.4 and get 9 seats wit that formula.
2 or 3 more votes and you would've gotten elected.
I made this deal with your PP. I kept my end of the bargain and I thought you'd get elected. I don't know how many of your people voted for us or not, but I can say I made a strong effort to turn out our vote...
6 votes is just over 2% of the votes. Take 2% off you and you lose a seat, and the votes would boost up another party to give them a seat. If they were ESO votes (which it seems likely - I've got no reason to believe otherwise at the moment as I was the one complaining and I voted for you) then it would have gone to UKRP instead and given them an extra seat instead. Otherwise the votes could have been spread out and you still could lose the seat (maybe WRP would have gained one).
Your spreadsheet doesn't actually consider where those votes would have gone, 6 is a very safe number to say would have lost you the seat though.
We've moved on from this debate as well, I don't think anyone cares anymore.

I moved six votes from UKPP to UKRP in the scenario you mentioned. It would have taken a seven vote swing for us to lose that 9th seat.
At any rate.... someone's gonna be mad no matter what. Unavoidable.
Cool
you did badly; your vote was down & lost 1 seat
lol Bank holiday , 2 months ago we wasn't in the top 5 so we done well !
Not very nice calling our members Stupid. You do nice pictures so I'll tell them to forgive you.

sorry, but your drones should've been encouraged to vote UKPP to get a 2nd ESO congressman elected instead of a ghost seat.
I'm sure there was nothing stopping ESO joining us but there we are. Hindsight is a wonderful thing. Also it is quite nice for people to be once more blaming TUP.
