Admins Transfer Party Gold To National Treasury



For a long time, party gold was useless. It would cost two gold to run for Party President, and you could donate to the party. The gold was inaccessible however, making it useless. After sometime, the admins introduce the now defunct ads module, where parties could use the gold to make ads for recruitment purposes, links to party press releases, etc. However the admins removed that functionality.

So what did the party gold actually mean for the party?

Well, it was completely and utterly useless. We're talking about a few thousand gold, just sitting there, no way to be used. So what do the admins do? They transferred it to our national treasury (apparently the same thing in every country, but in the eUS is appears higher due to us having more parties).

What Do We Do With It?



As you can see here, Publius recommended we move the over three thousand freed gold to the Congressional Budget Office. The CBO as its better known is where we store our nations treasury since the in game one is p much useless.

On the eUSA Forums some people debate what to do with it. Some have argued to give it back to the parties. Well after some debate, that was shot down. Then some of the parties asked to be compensated by USD. Now, personally I don't think the government just handing out funding to parties is really such a good idea.

The United States Workers Party has made it clear through a recent address from their Party President that they will not seek gold or USD from the government over this issue. The US Libertarian Party also made it immediately clear they would not seek access to the funding.

I for one applaud both.

Some Suggestions



Let the government keep the gold, give SCI access to it and well... lets use it for tanking. We have all the USD we could possibly need. In fact, we are trying to pull as much USD as we can so that we can increase the value on the PEG. So with this in mind... keep the gold, use it for tanking in important battles and/or to help stabilize the PEG.

In the end, the parties weren't going to use the gold anyways. So why should we "refund" them if for all intents and purposes it was untouchable to them in the first place? Also, you can now run for Party President for free. That should be fun.

USWP niyetini Parti Başkanları’nın duyurusuyla açıkça ortaya koydu ve altın ya da dolar talep etmeyeceğini bildirdi. Libertarian Party de aynı şekilde ödenek talep etmeyeceğini bildirdi.
