[eBe-CP] End of Term

Day 2,753, 10:52 Published in Belgium Belgium by eBelgian Presidency
Dear Belgians,

This is my last announcement as Country President this term, not that there have been a lot of those, but anyway, I just wanted to say a few words before I "transfer power" to the next CP.

There were not a lot of objectives set for me this term when I decided to run for CP and I hoped for a stable and peaceful mandate. Although, if there were other things to mention in this term (which there wasn't), fact is that the central and most important thing that happened is the double AirStrike on eBelgium by eMontenegro and eJapan. I said I hoped for a peaceful term and these AirStrikes came somewhat as a lightning blot from a clear blue sky. It saved me from having to arrange a TW though, so we had our war and our fun, but it didn't look too good for eBelgium at the beginning. I have to admit that I was afraid of a possible/probable long term wipe... Well, you all know what happened and how it all ended, it can be seen in the previous presidential article which has detailed explanation about how it went published together with the MoFA.
I would like to say a few words about the Government and it's departments this term, about their activity or the lack of it. My general feeling is that the Government was not sufficiently active including me as CP, but especially a few departments that have been literally nonexistent this term.
This is the case with the Defense and Education departments, there was no activity there whatsoever, much to my disappointment.
The Home Affairs Dept. was okay, tommot published a few articles and there is not much work to be done in Finance Dept.
The most active Dept. was the Foreign Affairs and I have to commend Franckie18 for his hard work and activity this term especially before, during and after the AirStrikes, he was a great help to me. He's starting to become one hell of a politician and everybody should start taking notes from this little fox (or beaver in his case, lol).
Now on the fun side, I've introduced the Ministry of Silly Walks (MoSW) together with Chihiroh this term. I have to say that it was the funniest and awesomest Ministry and I hope that the next Govt. will continue this project (...ofc if Chihiroh agrees). Chihiroh for eternal MoSW \o/ XD
Finally, I want to thank everybody that supported me and helped as much as they could this term. In my opinion, it was not a perfect term but it was neither a disaster, remember that we could've gotten the short end of the stick with the AirStrikes situation.
I want to wish good luck and a productive term to the next President. Whoever takes on the job, needs to know about the Dictatorship mechanism also. I'd advise the next CP to have a close and active communication not only with his cabinet, but with the DED (Democratically Elected Dictator) as well. This is because in-game CP has control over nothing, much like the Congress and every button must be pushed by the DED.
To the next CP and Congress: You should be pushing the DED to push those buttons. Push him hard! 😃

Thank you for your time. e Vlad has left the building!
Over and out,
e Vladimir, CP of eBelgium
