{CPF} Party Electoral Procedure

Day 2,554, 18:54 Published in Canada Canada by Funky 24

"Where the CPF has exemplified the superiority of our belief is in how we vote.

Just as I lay out our party information in articles, in the game (such as now), just as the CPF uses an in-game message thread to bring issues before the entire membership, the CPF also delegates our voting to methods entirely within the game.”

Before the country and the subjects outside our party walls become rank with questions about how the Canadian Progressive Front will proceed this month, I've outlined our election procedures below.

For Congressional elections, I will decide the ordering of our roster based on past experience, expressed interest and the likelihood that the candidate will remain an active representative of the CPF. Ignoring my request for more information about yourself might lead to you getting stuck on the outside looking in, CPFer.

For Country Presidential elections, the entire CPF membership will be given a private message on the last day of the month from me, where I will ask members to pick a Candidate among the list of Candidates I provide. The list will be of all publicly announced CP candidates, with a link to a platform article. The Candidate with the plurality of votes will be picked as the party’s nominee during my last login on the 2nd. I will publish the results on the 3rd.

Party Presidential elections will be open votes. I cannot decide who can be PP the way I can decide who can be a Congress member or our CP nominee so I will refrain from implanting any sort of procedure. A primary for this would be useless when common sense and voluntary withdrawals by candidates have proven to be a better custom.

"As a party that believes in the supremacy of game mechanics over all roleplaying, these are things that should be done and responded to in the game, thus encouraging representation of the party membership. These procedures are in my mind; simple, fair and democratic. If you do not like them, then I'm open to suggestions or having to defend them on the 15th."
