Join the new world

The term is just about over, and I can safely say that this month has been a great month for the eUK (I hope you agree) I’ll go over a few things to update you on our position and how things went this term.



Based on the budget I submitted I predicted from the situation we were in with regions we would have a 90k cc deficit even on a shoestring budget. Well we’re up by massive amounts, we got our regions back and made great deals which have allowed us to build up a useful surplus while being responsible with the money we had available for spending.

As you can see by the report from around the start of the term, we had about 900k overall.

[MoF] Report for 25th to 2nd May

The latest report we’ve had puts us up to 1.15m, but even since the 2nd of May we’ve had a lot of income, we’re up 350k since that report. Which puts us at 1.5m for this month. Which leaves us with a 600k surplus, I intend to talk a little more about finances in the NMU and MoD segments of this article.

As usual, Huey has run MoF as well as you’d expect him too, and who knows where gali might be in the future in regards to MoF?

If you had said to me that the NMU would be 2nd in the MU rankings for damage in the eUK in its first full week of running - bearing in mind the major MU’s have all decided not to merge into it, I would have been very skeptical. But we did it. I’m very happy with how the NMU worked out and is working out so far.

As far finances go, we’ve spent no government money. Out of the 250k allocated, we spent none. You can check the org where the money is held if you are skeptical. There was a rather cynical but insignificant portion of the eUK which believed that the NMU would mean that it would take 250k per month and spend it cart blanche. But that’s not the case, there is a supply system in place which is run by people in the MU and the money is only taken to cover the gaps, and as the system is running so well, the money has not been needed at this point in time. As the 250k is not being spent, no more money is being transferred (NMU can only possess 250k and will not be transferred any more if it has 250k)

Keeping these things in mind, I really recommend joining the National MU. Rory has done a great job in running it and Addaway (Boaty) has done really well in creating a system which works well (Defense Act) there are still many things the National MU can do which haven’t been put to use yet, so I’m looking forward to how they work out.


There’s been a few gaps in terms of MoD articles, but we haven’t been in a position where MoD orders are vital this term. Also in the later part of this term we’ve been swamped with the giant wave of TW’s across eRepublik, it's not easy to gauge which ones are legit and which ones are TW’s we shouldn’t get involved with (Spoiler - they’re all TW’s 😛)

MoD strikes have also been irregular, this has been due to issues with availability which is regrettable, but the NMU and MU’s such as RN and FBI have that covered very well. So good on them. On the plus side we’ve still got that money and we haven’t wasted it, so it can be put to good use.

Sambo and Kapten have really been behind the work of MoD this month, so I thank them for their work o7.


Rathena left us in a good position in that Orion had a treaty with us and Asteria have decided not to trouble us, I think in terms of foreign affairs while it looks very similar in terms of our MPP stack (though we did MPP Turkey) we’re actually in very interesting times.

Countries that were enemies not too long ago may not be our new best friends, but we’ve maintained friendly relations which could help them and us in the long term. While we didn’t switch to a new alliance, all I can say is that these things do take time, things are planned. But it may take weeks after I’m not CP for it to come to fruition, hopefully when it does we’ll be well positioned - we have allies in PLUTO, Adriatica and elsewhere and I think we’ve managed to maintain all of these relations well despite the changes we’ve seen.

AMD and Appleby have been great MoFA’s, I’m no foreign affairs genius so it's great to have people who are in the know around me.


CheetahCurtis has done a great job at MoEd, being someone who actually cares about doing it. The role has been neglected for a while, while MoEd hasn’t been that active for the second half of the term I understand why that is and I still think CheetahCurtis has set out how you run MoEd properly.

While the date for the Resource Wars starting is slightly annoying, we have made the appropriate arrangements.

I’ve really enjoyed being CP of the eUK, I’ve always been a bit worried that I’d destroy the eUK or something and that has stopped me from running before. But I’ve had a great cabinet around me and things have gone well, I’ve been in contact with countries and players I didn’t think I’d be in contact with and that’s been cool. I’d definitely consider running again, but as you can see I won’t be running for re-election. I think it’s time for someone else to be at the head and continue along the path we have made for ourselves, I wish all of the candidates the best of luck in the elections, and I truly believe that no matter which of the front runners win the next term will be as successful as this one.
