[Aramec] Dengeki Big Bang!

Day 2,323, 12:20 Published in USA USA by Aeriadne

Œuf
Let's take a moment here. Errybody take a deep breath.

In for five seconds.

Hold for five seconds.

Out for seven.

Repeat as needed.

...

So, the last 24 hours have been a wild ride. Pfeiffer announced, then Gnilraps announced, then Pfeiffer withdrew and jumped on Gnil's wagon.

Gnilraps running does not change my campaign, I want to make that very clear. I set about this path intending to run, and intending to win.

I stay the course.

So let's just keep on dancin.

Entrée
Let's talk Foreign Affairs.

You know where this is going.

And yes, it's Wild Owl again! He and I are biddies. Braised in that November primary, and then bro grows whilst under Naz. This isn't even to mention our choice lovership we had while I was his CoS.

Those long nights spent in the old oval...

And he is choice to continue commandeering our broadly affairs just as he has been. But I'm a pragmatic sort of guy. I like planning for the future, for eventualities. There's gonna come a day when he and I won't be around, and so we need to training others so they can soar when their time comes.

The first name is my significant Othere.

Othere's done solid work as every task he's been assigned to. So why not State, I said to myself? It's a perfect fit: Hilary is in State, so Othere should be as well. Art imitating life, if you can call this game art.

Not really...

Othere is one of those people I respect to do the right thing, and who disagrees with me in the right way. Critical response is very important to me when done in a respectful manner, and Othere has proven he has the tact and manner to uphold that standard.

The other man I've got under the owl's tutelage is a guy who has both stolen my heart and the potential avatar I may have used for my profile. It's okay, David Wilson, he's much better suited to you.

Where Othere reminds me of the better parts of the UIP (and they were there, I promise), David Wilson is a throwback to the higher crust of many parties. The dude is just smart. He's refined, everything he says has a tone of ease and yet command about it. I like that. I find myself seeking approval from him. That, dear friends, is the sort of magnetism state requires.

Wild Owl has assured me that he will work closely with these two, and I trust him on that. We are really strong in state right now, being the highest ranked country in an alliance has some necessities attached to it. Over the last two months, we've consolidated our holdings, and we've grown strong.

It's time to share that strength.

Under my Presidency, we will be the best ally we can to our friends, and the worst of enemies to those who cross us. Our foremost concerns our maintaining our own holdings of course, and I have no plans to endanger that. Empire status would be nice, but it is also a tremendous target on anyone's back. If the benefits do not threaten our long term standing, Empire may be something we can officially be called. Otherwise, the top spot will have to suffice.

And speaking of being on top...

This, yeah, this isn't changing anytime soon. Get rid of Rylde and we'll maybe talk, canaderps.

Plat Principal
USAF. USAF. USAF. It caused one former POTUS to toss into the ring, and the incumbent to rethink his stay. So it must be pretty important, right? And it is. It's very important. But honestly? We're being a bit dramatic about the whole thing. Dramatics are what have caused most of our problems with it. We need some cooler heads.

The next person I'm gonna introduce you to probably requires no introduction. The name you will recognize. The deeds you will know. But all the same... this next person is very important to me.

True friends, the sort of friends you would meet up with in real life and genuinely enjoy the company of, are hard to come by sometimes in this game of egos and power plays. But this friend has always been there for me. She has been one of the few constants, not only for our country, but for me as a person. We reminisce late at night about the good old days, about the people we miss. But at least we have each other.

Every time the weekend comes, I know there'll always be a rainy sunday.

Bit of a throwback, but it still holds true. I trust rainy sunday implicit because she is one of the best, and she has agreed to be drawn away from the sands of Paki to return to us in this, our time of greatest need. Teacher is an ill-fit word. To learn by her side is to see the game as it truly is. Even players right now, very experienced players, come to her and have their views changed by what she says. She is the closest thing we have to Athena in this game.

Aside from my gushing, she is naturally suited for the job. Long time SF gal with extensive experience in organizing MUs, she is a natural fit for this transition. But I'm all about cooperation, and about help. So let's introduce another favorite (gosh, this has turned into a really gushy article).

Back when USAF was falling apart at the seams due to a number of reasons, a rough rider came to her rescue. He speaks softly, cus he doesn't want to wake his kid, but I can assure you the stick is waiting right around the corner. And it's almost as big as the man himself.

For Deputy Secretary of Defense, dmjohnston everybody!

Now. If you've been a good little citizen you've read both the WHPR detailing the announcement of the new USAF and have also seen Pfeiffer's handy flowchart. I also assume you remember Gnil's original Defense Platform outlining all of this. It still gets me rock hard. As many have said before me, if it ain't broke, don't fix it. I've got the right people for the job, the foundations have been laid, and we're gonna start building this mother just as soon as I get in office. David Wilson promises to bring his experience over as well from the last term, and I am completely open to letting Gnil and others who have been involved in the process continue to help with this undertaking.

First course has been served. The portions are a bit large, so I'll give you folks sometime to digest. Bon appétit.
