[AMP] Liebeslieder

Friendship is unnecessary, like philosophy, like art.... It has no survival value; rather it is one of those things which give value to survival.

This Is Gonna Get Real Gay
My love affair with the American Military Party started during the March POTUS election. As is tradition, each candidate goes to each party's forum and puts up a Q&A thread where members of the party can grill the CP hopeful. It's a great way to get a lot of party people throw a shitton of questions at you and, if you're not well liked, grill you like a sausage.

Mmm, meat.

Most of my Q&A threads have always been rather uninteresting. I either garner troll/fun questions, or get very few real questions of really any merit. It happens. I had heard that election that the AMP board was especially taking joy in grilling candidates. Having never really known the AMP or engaged with it, I admit I was somewhat nervous going over there just to get rekt. And yet, my thread there was honestly one of the most engaging and thoughtful Q&A threads I've had.

The questions started out with the standard fluff, who I was, a couple joke questions. And then the ante was upped, asking honest and good questions about what differentiated me from others. And then came the personal investigation. Not so much an attack as a genuine critique of my persona in game and what I had done.

All throughout, I gained respect for these guys. Because they cared. This wasn't just a fluff publicity thing to them, and they took it seriously. And you can see that in every aspect of the party.

The AMP cares.

We may not be the largest party, or have the flashiest media, or even the strongest meta presence (a fact David Wilson and I are hoping to change with his PP term), but they do care. For the longest time, I thought AMP was this shell of a party, some wasteland of pointlessness. I honestly didn't give them much thought.

I thought they were a bunch of closeted do nothings.

I couldn't have been proved more wrong.

There is a strength in the AMP and a comfort I find with them that I haven't felt in years while playing this game. Each party has their own unique subculture, and the AMP vibe is something I've remained in love with.

Ratchet
I think the biggest thing that differentiates the AMP from other parties is the potential. Here you have a group of players who aren't pushing daily to be seen for what they do, who aren't particularly attention whores (with the exception of greeling), and who when set to a task accomplish it with great aplomb.

This is a group of individuals who, while surely have their own ambitions, are not in it for the medal or the public eye.

AMP does work.

You've got former CPs like Israel Stevens and John Killah who provide invaluable input to younger members. Any party needs that core of previous experience to guide them. Then you've got players like David Wilson and myself, working hard to fulfill their own ambitions and set the party on the right track. You've got mid-tier risings like Fawkie, Napalm Norm, Swagg, and others, who are people who have proved time and again that they do hard work and deserve more.

You have every element of a stable party and party society. And there's a wealth of potential that remains untapped.

Much like dat ass.

David Wilson is the right person for kicking things into gear with the AMP. We have all the right moves in all the right places right now, and I'm expecting you're going to see a great month to come out of his leadership. The party is fine, the people are finer, and there's nothing to lose in joining.

It's hard to pinpoint exactly why I like AMP so much. There's a vague Dioist under vibe that I really like. A sense of brosome ease permeates the party. It's just a group of friends hanging out, and I didn't quite get that anywhere else.

AMP and I are drift compatible.

Get ready for the coming months, Emericka. You're gonna like the way we look.
