Your Move

Day 2,057, 15:04 Published in Ireland USA by Raven Anarcho

Two familiar enemies clash as another loses its grip in South America. A neutral nation floats between alliances.

WE’RE BACK

Taiwan and South Korea have once again gone to war. The first battle has just started as both nations NEd one another one day ago. The nations were at war months ago, until the US began an operation to liberate South Korea and Japan from Taiwan’s hold. The US dominated Taiwan in that war, however following the joint invasion of the US, Taiwan looks to re-establish its empire in Asia. Taiwan currently occupies few regions in Mexico, and has signed an MPP with China.

YOUR MOVE

Brazil has reclaimed three regions from Argentina in the past three days. The nation looks to continue its ties with CoT, renewing MPPs with Mexico and Bulgaria. The past two days have not gone well for Argentina, who also lost two regions to Chile in recent days. Meanwhile, Paraguay and Bolivia have NEd one another and Uruguay continues its efforts in South Africa.

THIRD TIME’S NOT A CHARM

Three NE proposals against Spain have been voted down by the Portuguese congress in the past 5 days. Portugal remains divided on its official stance with Spain, as some wish for total liberation through war and others wish for liberation through diplomacy. The first two NEs lost by 66% of the vote, while the most recent is currently even worse. Portugal has signed MPPs with Colombia and Argentina, two of its close historical allies, indicating it may be slipping even further into pro-TWO territory.

MY CURRENT MISSION

I’ve been working on private projects while limited in free time this term. For the first month in a long time, I was unable to do a presidential article due to my RL schedule. Meanwhile, I’ve been fighting for Mexico, hoping that it will be able to oust Taiwan as it has done with Thailand.

LEGEND OF THE MONTH

Rosa Luxemburg

Born in Poland, 1871, Rosa Luxemburg was a Marxist revolutionary in Germany during the early parts of the 20th century. She became a strong supporter of Social Democracy as a means to achieve the “dictatorship of the proletariat.” She formed both the Communist Party of Germany and the Sparticus League, which published revolutionary pamphlets and organized revolutionary movements. In her writings, she criticized the Bolshevik movement as becoming too violent and oppressive, doomed to become yet another tyrannical dictatorship. She left her first political party, the Social Democratic Party of Germany, after disagreeing with their operations and intentions, feeling that the party did not properly represent her views of Social Democracy. When, against her advice, the Sparticus League planned the German Revolution, she was captured and murdered. Memorials for her exist throughout Europe, including Barcelona, Poland, and of course, Germany.
