Why you should consider iRule777 as CP of eAustralia
Mr Crumpets
Door number one or Door number two
Good Afternoon eAustralia,
In a few hour time we will go to the polls again to choose either Draim Alexander or iRule777 as our Country President for the April term.
Though I admit, I'm very happy with the Foreign Affairs approach DA has taken us term, I am encouraging you to Vote for iRule777.
Both candidates will lead eAustralia well. Both have a similar outlook for our nation's future. However there is one reason why I favour one over the other.
BURN OUT.
I've seen in the past on the rare occasion someone does two terms in a row in eAustralia, their first term is usually very successful and proactive, but by the second term, the novelty wears off and they burn out.
So instead of letting Draim Alexander burn out, I'd like to see him end the term on a high note, call it a successful month, and hand over to iRule777 and support his government.
I'm not saying that's it for DA. He could (and should) advise iRule777 through the month... and may be later in the year have another run at CP.
What I am saying is, DA, you've done well, but if you stay on you could burn out and people might see you in a less favourable light near the end of the 2nd term - finish on a high mate.
I'm confident iRule777 will do us all proud and encourage eAustralia to vote for a fresh injection of enthusiasm.
Mr Crumpets.

ok well Irule just got the MC Kiss of Death..... 😛
i guess your own party are hypocrites then MC
your own member Majester has done multiple terms in a row
... and that's why I'm suggesting CPs only do one term in a row.
oh so you dont think your own party member did a good job being CP then?
Tim, I'm saying they burn out.
and im saying you have no idea how burned out anyone is.
the fact you are against draim in the election makes this political not actual concern for the management of the nation in terms of burn out.
you couldnt come up with any other reason why Draim isnt as good a choice you so basically made up one which ironically your own party doesnt follow
Ummmm, if you bothered to read Tim, I like Draim and his policies, but fear he will burn out. If he wins, I'm happy for him, but like I said, I fear for burn out - you read way too much things into Tim... are you mentally stable?
but you are supporting Irule....
you could have said, "let the best man win good luck to both"
but you didnt... you decided to find some POTENTIAL problem (because you couldnt find any actual ones) and make an article about that.
thats political bias and its exactly what is wrong with this eNation, this isnt RL media Mr Crumpets, acting like a dick isnt acceptable, i dont care if it is allowed in radio
I did two terms in a row, must admit the last week was pretty hard so I can understand the burn out issue. Don't think it should be the deciding factor on who to vote for though.
its just another of MCs political spins
plus he wouldnt even know if there is a burn out issue or not not having been a CP before, so its literally made up
add that to not wanting to start anything new in the last week of your term so the next CP has a fresh plate to start off.... it really is a non issue.
While there is certainly a risk of burnout for Draim, the same could be said of Irule. Both Draim and Irule have been active enough in Cabinet to the extent that it could happen to either or both of them.
I think that both Draim and Irule are both good candidates to run for CP. I'm not concerned for the good of our Nation, whoever wins this one.
People should vote for whoever they please.
Crumpets spreading his crap. iRule and Draim would/will make great CPs. I don't see anyone supporting you Crumpets.
I personally think 1 term is too short to get a major policy change done, but would concede a 3rd term is definitely burnout territory. People may flag in their 2nd term, but we are all individuals, and it has more to do with the specific issues you face and the quality of your cabinet than workload.
A CP who has a fully active cabinet from start to finish of one term is a lucky person. Draim has put in solid effort but admittedly it has been hampered by an absentee cabinet. All I can go off is the media reports Binda has released and the last couple have seen noticeably MIA in some depts. RL is the killer here that's largely why I got out of it. In some respects CPs also expect too much. Some get arrogant and cry "we're volunteers", well so to are the cabinet members. Vetting is also a huge shortfall. Sure some positions are politically necessary - every CP goes through that - but more pre-service testing on time and commitment is required.
cant help but agree, the thing is that saying you are willing to be CP or in cabinet is basically giving a commitment.
imo you should be following through if you make a commitment like that
I am surprised at how few CPs straight out ask past CPs about the performance of individuals. But I guess RL has the same issue -- how often do people really check references? Don't be surprised if you get stuck with serial offenders.
Both of you know this was part of the reason why noobs were never placed in senior ministerial cabinet positions. It was never anything to do with slighting their potential, it was because enthusiasm was one ingredient to testing what kind of overall result you were going to end up with. I wish the experiment had proven better, though in some cases it's important to note that there have been exceptions to this. Suffice to say, the experience test has in comparison proven the most effective way to see how much time investment Executives were going to get our of their ministry.
Dunno, I have a lot of time for new enthusiastic players. The energy is infectious, and often raises the game of the older, proven-dependable players. I'd take an unknown new player over a known slacker every time.
Misinterpreted it a bit friend. No matter
Try fewer and smaller words next time to cater for us plebs. 😉
