Why I started to play again?

Day 2,737, 06:48 Published in Ukraine Bulgaria by Republic of Bulgaria

Hello everybody!
Thank you for reading my article. I am not good in writing but I will try to give my best to make this article interesting for you. Although this will be my first article in English, so excuse me if I've done some mistakes.

Why I started to play again? Why I chose to spend my time again for this game?

I joined this game in 2nd of February 2011. One friend of mine told me about this game and I decided to try it... and here I am after 4 years... ohh God... 4 years??? I was asked so many times: "Why do you still play this game, there is nothing special, nothing interesting anymore... why?"

In this article I will answer to this questions and I will tell you what I think about this game.

Now I will start with the things that let me to stop playing eRepublik.

Firstly, in the beginning the game was really interesting, with good economic mode and with a lot of players (more than now). I found some friends, who helped me to develop. Later I joined Bulgarian quarter. The time that I spent to be there really impressed me. All communications with the people in the eBulgarian army, the money for the damage you receive... everything was good until the administrators (Plato) started to change the game for earning more money. They changed the economic and battle modes, the prices for the products critically went down, new weapons and food restore came. It was harder and harder to earn money, especially for those who invested money for producing food raw materials and weapon raw materials (like me). I had to fire all my employees (who were mostly new players or people from the Quarter to whom I was helping). Later I had to sell my weapon k4 factory because the prices were so low that there was no point to keep it.

Secondly, the only thing that was changing in this game (and still changes) is the battle mode. It is nice, well done. But with every change I was starting to spend more and more money than I earn. The MU came out and with this thing the damage for every country was not able to be controlled. Before in the eBulgarian army everything was connected with Skype conversations. Somebody gives orders to fight and the whole army fights in a battle at the same time. According to me this was the best way to focus the damage in one battle and to win it. Although by this kind of communication I found some friends, yes friends even that I have never seen them in RL even now I write with them in Facebook or Skype.

The last but not at least fact that let me stop the game was the opportunities that Plato started to offer, but for real money. By killing the economic mode and this new offers the dream of Plato came true. More and more players started to use their Credit or debit cards. 1 K7 factory, 2nd, 3rd.... yes let's buy some more gold... now let's train more... And now when I joined again I see profiles with levels more then 150 with around 100k strength. o_O Active people are twice smaller than one year before. I do not know how long I will play but I know that the time for this game to end is close.

Now what let me play again...

One day I just got up, I opened my Facebook and I saw a advertise for the game. Then I said let's see what is going on and what is new... eee nothing. But I started to work, train and fight for some days ( 5 minutes per day). Later a friend asked me to join her military unit in Ukraine. I said why not? I was only playing this game with Bulgarians, in Bulgarian units and so on. Why not to change? And I did so and here I am, again active citizen of eRepublik with 14.6k strength and level 43. Why only 14.6k for 3(active) years in this game? Because I play this game not to spend my money for a game that tomorrow could not exist, I play it for fun and to find new friends.

Thank you for reading my article up to here! Maybe it was a bit boring but I wanted to write an article. My last one was on day 1805! Wow, Almost 1000 days since my last article.

Again thanks for reading, I hope you like it and you have the same opinion as me for this game.

Now it is time for one German beer! Cheers!

Ich wünsche Ihnen ein Schönes Tag!

Your sincerely,
