Press Conference Notes:

The log from last night's Presidential press conference will be posted. (Will edit this once it becomes available.)

In reviewing my notebook, some of the things that stood out include😛

* Defense Secretary Bradley Reala pointed out that with the up-coming game changes, there may be an option to pay a fee to retain raw materials bonuses in lieu of establishing trading routes.

* President Glove and Chief of Staff Justin McCravok opined that the main accomplishments of the Administration thus far include:
** Stabilizing and revitalizing moribund government departments and programs.
** Bringing players into the Administration who have not previously served in Government.
** Promoting national unity.

* In response to several questions about iNCi, Zyria and Glove observed that iNCi has agreed to seat five congresspeople in the next election and also to collaborate with the Federal Election Commission (FEC) in running blockers to thwart rogue candidates. They also said that contingency plans are in place should the need for ATO activities come into play.

There was a good bit of discussion about Terra, formerly known as PANAM. I was going to say you should check out Emerick's article regarding the naming of and logo for the alliance -- which seemed to be major thing people were concerned about -- but it looks like that got deleted. Bummer. Trust me, it was quite funny.

Two questions were directed to new Interior secretary CRoy regarding retention and baby-boom efforts. See notes below about what's going on in the Interior.

Department of Interior Cleans House:

New Secretary of the Interior, CRoy is examining what works and what's wonky in the DoI.
Look for articles by CRoy and his team to be posted every day.

A few early notes:

* The Mentoring program is humming along nicely.
* The Intern program is probably going to replace the Human Resources department.
* Meals on Wheels is getting a sexy kick in the pants from jerseygirl.
* A DoI team will work on brainstorming recruitment methods and in-game retention tools.
