We'll Always Have Graubunden

Day 2,228, 19:14 Published in Switzerland USA by Jason Welsh

Dear Switzerland,

We've been together for a while now. We've had good times and bad times and through it all, I've managed to really become a part of your community. For better or worse, I've been here with you in battles against both foreign and domestic threats, and though it's been extremely hard to get where we are today, we're in a good spot right now. We have all four regions, our first stable congress in months, PTOers are nowhere to be seen, and our government is competent and able to hold its own in the international field.

We've come a long way, and right now, We're in a good spot, Switzerland.

All that being said though, I must confess something to you. That plane that's heading to the Alps? The names on the tickets should be Mr. and Mrs. Victor Laslo because I'm not coming back. I'm leaving eSwiss.

It's been a good run guys, but I have to move on. Other places in erep are calling for me, and I must answer. This place will do just fine without me here, and I'll do just fine somewhere else.

I know that the rest of the Patriots are also leaving, but I'm not leaving just for them. We've spent over a month planning this and discussing weather staying or leaving would be better. I have my own reasons for leaving, as does everyone else who is moving to Canada. Some of us have been antagonized and even called PTOers, and others, such as myself, have simply realized that the time is right for us to move on.

To a few awesome people who I honestly feel bad for leaving:

Rican: My impression of you after my first month here was that you ARE Switzerland. This country is not whole without your personality and it would not be on the map without all that you've done to help it. Honestly, you don't get enough credit for what you do. I don't care where you are in this game, as long as you're here, you will always be the Swiss Watchdog.

Trog: There aren't enough people in this game like you. You are one of the best people I've ever worked with on a cabinet. I've had the pleasure of working closely with you 3-4 terms in a row, and we've accomplished some good things. It's a shame we have to part ways, but this is the way of the world. Good luck wherever you go, in life, or in this game. I hope to see you around again somewhere.

So there it is Switzerland. I'm going today. I'm sorry that we all decided to leave in this way, but we've all made the same decision. Where we're going, you can't follow, and what we've got to do, you can't be a part of. I'm no good at being noble, but it doesn't take much to see that the problems of 1 little MU don't amount ot a hill of beans in this crazy game. Someday you'll understand that...

And now for my final goodbye to you all.

You may say that we didn't have enough time together, but I say we'll always have Graubinden.

Here's looking t you, kids!
