UK congress August 2012
Lisamunusira
It seems holidays are over. We got 513 votes for the congress, that is 100 more than last month. That is good, because we lost many citizens. We are down to 2554 citizens now.
TUP won the elections with the most votes (171) and seats (13). UKPP did very good getting 10 seats. ESO has 10 seats too, but they had support from John Bull (parties out of top 5 in members cannot run in congress elections, John Bull got 1 seat under ESO flag). UKRP got 3 seats. PCP is again in congress with 3 seats (they did not have a seat in July).
Compared to the congress elections in July we see some interesting developments. One party has minor votes than in July (UKPP -3).
The rest won votes (TUP + 38, PCP +34, ESO + 22 and UKRP + 13).
PCP did really good. They gained for a small party a lot of votes and the differences in members with John Bull (party #6) has increased from 6 members to 16 and PCP has more votes than UKRP (party #4). That is promising for PCP.
Important is strategic voting. There were 12 regions now (in July only London) so one vote in a certain region can make a real difference. In East of England and in Louth 1 vote more on UKPP would give them 2 seats more and ESO & UKRP would loose one seat each. Bad luck for UKPP or maybe good organising from ESO & UKRP.
Anyways we have a new congress. Congrats to all chosen. Good to see we have a lot of fresh members of congress. I do hope all will be active on our national forum and that all will work to improve our nation.
I thank everyone who has been active in the elections especially the ones that voted on me. I promise to do all I can for the UK and its citizens.
IRC
It is interesting to see that 1 vote can change who will get a seat. For that I encourage every one to be active on IRC so they can get more involved and place their vote strategic. You can come their quite easily by this link.
After that type: /join #tup.public
followed by enter and you can talk to me or other people of The Unity Party.

We had small party support last time around, hence why the small drop. We actually did very well with our numbers, and the election team did a great job! We just couldn't find that extra vote or two to secure Louth. We knew the TUP early vote would put us at risk there. Well done, nicely played. We stopped pushing Matt Timmins quite early and he scored 2 votes during the night, shame for him he couldn't secure that winning vote.
Good article. Voted
yes, what wayne has said - I was out by say 2 votes, but hey that's the way it goes, some people play strategy be up early before 8am and place a strategy vote, hey ho.

I'll happily help TUP next month at the last minute too. Great job to all parties in the elections 🙂
More votes is a result of more regions and people not wanting to move to London to vote like last month.
So if you think about it really, the vote numbers are still disappointing.
Well Done John Bull first member into congress
Now let's just work to ensure that it is a productive Congress month from all members elected!
Well said Roz.
Indeed more regions does give more votes. In the last month we lost 20% citizens, active fighters we lost 10%. After day 1726 we gained active fighters (+12%, 541 now) but citizens were stable (around 2,000).

Let us be positive now and do our best to regain active citizens and fighters.
Niemand, would you mind amending where it says 1 more vote to the east of england, I was tied on 6 with apronchef one more for me I'm in he's out
😃 Well done PCP, and sorry to my prefered candidate in the SWOE, 🙁
@Matt Timmins: Thanks for your correction. I wrote Wales where it had to be East of England, it is amended now.
