Two announcements for the price of one!

Day 1,835, 10:16 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by Count Drakula

Hey eUK,

Today’s article is going to be an announcement of two different things, the first one has been mentioned in CP announcements for a while and the second has been leaked a billion times that it isn’t even an announcement. Without further ado, let me get this show on the road!

Actual announcements first, there’s going to be a second podcast in the eUK! It’ll run once per week with a guest and I talking about their specialist subject. For the pilot episode, I am pleased to announce that... Talon Karrde is going to be the very first guest! We’ll be talking as soon as he is able to and the first subject will be about what it takes to be a CP and the different tasks involved while being CP. In fact, we’ll be recording this evening so there will be a podcast out tomorrow hopefully!

Now for the second “announcement”. As anyone with a brain has probably realised the fact I’ve written a whopping two articles means that I want to run for CP again. Just as a note about the last time that I ran, I ran into unforeseen internet problems that meant I couldn’t campaign properly. I never planned to say I was running one minute and then be PMing the TUP PP saying to change candidate. Thankfully, uni internet isn’t/shouldn’t break out on me (touch wood) so you’ll have to put up with a bunch of terrible Count Von Count articles.

In comparison to others (but perhaps not a fellow CP candidate who I wish the best of luck to in the coming weeks) I don’t have a big variety of experience. I served under Talon Karrde this month as his vCP (overlooking our military and foreign affairs) and I’ve been the Minister of Defense several times. Other than that, I’ll be honest; I don’t have much experience. I’ll be talking with current ministers as well as anyone applying next month (how to apply is at the end of the article) about policy ideas (not that I don’t have any, I’m just interested by what others have to say).

As a couple of policy thoughts (I don’t want to bore you with details just yet), I plan on continuing Karrdes good work from this month:
I want to extend Youth First into ministries more with a second minister as a mentor, the only requirements for minister this term will be willingness to work with others, enthusiasm and IRC activity (forum activity preferred).
In review of the PP meeting a few weeks ago, I would organise a citizenship committee review such that all viewpoints are taken into account (the committee will/should be multi-party anyway but I understand that everyone has different viewpoints on the best way for this to work).
I would like to get a war sorted out as soon as possible, I know the reasons for why we cannot currently have war (unfortunately these are somewhat classified but involve certain nations attacking us if we were to do TW) and would like to get rid of these soon.

How to become a minister:

Step 1: Send me a PM with information about yourself (a brief bit on you, what ministry you want to apply for, what experience you have and how IRC active you are/willing to be)
Step 2: Wait for a reply, I’ll try and reply to most if not all of them, I may want to ask you another couple of questions or want to arrange a meeting on IRC.
Step 3: ???
Step 4: Become minister.

The current positions I am looking for are:
1 x vice Country President (I plan on continuing Karrdes 2 vCP idea, however I plan on giving the 2nd vCP role to whomever is 2nd if I am elected)
1 x Minister of Defense
1 x Minister of Education
1 x Minister of Finance
1 x Minister of Health
1 x Minister of Legislative Affairs
1 x Minister of Foreign Affairs

That’s it for now, I hope to hear from you soon. I’ll be doing a couple of policy articles in near future, perhaps there should be some here but OH WELL!

PS- Thanks to Ayame Crocodile for these wonderful images for my newspaper/CP run : )
