The Gateway Drug [Music Edition]

Dia Doibh a chairde,
Hello friends

Music Section : The initial unveiling

Inspired (rea😛 copied) by Vestys' acclaimed (by me damn it!) publication The Daily Fix, I shall be attempting to direct you to some musical audio-visual sites (rea😛Youtube) I hate thinking of things like a Capitalist Pigdog😛 But there seems to be an opening for a number of different music genres. There are an insufficient number of links to Classical, Country, Folk....ah just kidding.

I shall aim focus on Dance music for now. *aims gigantic magnifying glass* You will soon come to learn of my strange nostalgic love of cheesy 90's dance aswell as modern day Electro, Electronica and IDM. From earlier posts, specifically a my top 20 bands article I can't find, it seems the majority of us eIrish swing preferentially towards rock music. Even our finePresident Starks Hayter* has an avatar of, an apparently sexy, singer from a successful Scottish outfit.... not the clothing kind!
*Slight ISRP bias intended!..... also I'm part Frazer which is an ancient Scottish Clan with a seductive red tartan design!)

Little Boots

Some may ask why she chose what is obviously a painful reminder of being too poor to afford new foot garments as her stage name. I imagine you're thinking right now.... How little are those boots? What colour are they? Do they match her outfit?🙂 Possibly it's just me thinking those things; living with girls for a year has affected my mind! The male readers will surely appreciate her, ehem, wonderous talent🙂

Little Boots - New in town (Radio/Original Mix)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kUs9YzY7t-8
Sure to have been heard by most IRL on the radio in UK and Ireland.

Little Boots - New in town (Fred Falke Remix)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=44bUtVnoi2M
The excellent vocals still ring through and he changes the pace and style of the song. Doesn't sound as "House" orientated as most of his remixes.

Little Boots - New in town (Drop the lime Remix)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pn3pRPL-OCQ
Remixed to be a moar harcore banging tune.

Little Boots - New in town (The Golden Filter Remix)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EclGsf30zFI
Complete change of pace from the above remix. Love the electro/synth laid back feel of this remix.

Little Boots - New in town (Bimbo Jones Remix) :
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qoG_NSMMZUk
This sounds like the most viably commercial remix... euphoric at time, thumping at others..... It's got the best balance of all the remixes.

It may seem like I've just linked to five identical songs but listen to at least a sample of each one and you may have a new found respect for the subtle changes and how they evoke different emotions, connections and imagery. You may however just hate the initial song in which case you'll miss out on the music rollcoaster I've just laid out above... no harm!

Unfortunately it took me quite a number of successive trys at this before it hit me.... *thinking to myself* are links to youtube/external links in general allowed? Felt like I was level1 all over again! But that's the fun of this game I guess. Branching out into the media has been a satisfying experience so far.

Economics
I've initiated a review of prices and stock in all manufacturing industries. I decided to focus on that industry since it is the bedrock of our economy. Well from what I've seen it's the area most businesses are in and jobs are held so it makes sense that it would be. I'm very interested in how the tax changes on Moving tickets, Weapons, Gifts and Food recently passed will impact on prices. My opinion on the changes are that they will stablise government revenue streams which will no longer be reliant on variable intakes from VAT. It is a major change in economic policy which I feel deserves attention and analysis.

I will be conducting price/stock review weekl noting :
1.highest price on the market
2.lowest price on the market
3.total stock available on the market
4.total stock stored within the companys trading
5.Employee levels for each product and grade

I must admit I am no economist but I'm hoping to stun you with futuristic 16bit colour piecharts and the like, detailing market variations aswell as anything that catchs me eye or is unexpected. The database wil be available to anyone who requests it. I believe it should take a few weeks before reliable comparisons can be made though.

Apolgies to anyone who had the misfortune of staring at a blank article while I grappled with my own stupidity and that of the admins for having such a strange editing system! Oh how shameful I feel for cursing people for having done the same to me! To compensate - another pic of the fine lady featuring in the music section this issue....

Over and out......
