The future of GPN and a thank you for M. de Ruyter

Dear members of GPN and all others who bother to read this,
For the first time since February 2013 M. de Ruyter (van Spijck) is not leading this party. During his leadership we were the grandest party of the Netherlands, we participated in many governments and we always tried to help the new players in our community.
Of course he was not on his own in our party. Many GPN members were a good help in his terms, but I think I speak for the whole of GPN that without M. de Ruyter we would never developed on such a good way.
Therefore I (party president of GPN) grant M. de Ruyter the title “honorary president of GPN”.
Congratulations, enjoy your stay in Norway and I hope to see you back in e-Netherlands someday.
But what now?
For the future of GPN I have some plans from which some do not match with our party statute. But I think this is needed for a modern GPN. In this article I will give you a preview of my vision on the stance of GPN in the future.
Regions and alliance
Of course I want a Netherlands with four regions. But I know this is not feasible. I’m a proponent of the current deal we have with Poland. With 2 regions and Poland paying us the tax income of the other 2 regions I think we have a good deal. With about 300 citizens I don’t think more than 2 regions are needed.
About alliances I can be clear. I’m not a fan of any of the current alliances. I think we are too small and meaningless to any alliance. If Aurora really wanted us in we would have been member already instead of hearing nothing for weeks.
I think we shouldn’t join any alliance and instead cooperate with our befriended countries. Wars like the Baja campaign and training wars should keep our community active.
Belgium
At the moment we have a NAP with Belgium to become better friends. In real life North and South Korea have a NAP but they will probably not be friends for a long time. I think you don’t become friends with a NAP but only by talking with each other.
Dutch – English discussion
Our party statute says that Dutch should be our primary language. I don’t agree on this, I think English should be the primary language. We have some international players in our community who only speak English and most of the Dutch understand English quite well. For government articles I also prefer English, but if anybody is volunteering to translate all articles to Dutch he is more than welcome.
State army and commune
I like and support the idea of making 1 state military. However I do think that every citizen of the Netherlands should be able to join the state commune, we all pay taxes, we all fight for the same cause so we should all benefit from a new state commune.
Personal attacks and the “forum elite”
I think our country is too small to fight personal fights, and I honestly believe that we can work together with all parties on a professional way. I don’t believe in the so called “forum elite” of course there are people who post more than others, but I think everyone can voice his opinion. As moderator on the forum I try to do my best in keeping order. If you think somebody personally attacks you on the forum, please tell me and I will have a look.
Helping the new
Our most important point is and will be helping the new players in our community. A lot of new players leave the game after just a few weeks. In our small community we can use every new player. The x/s program of Walhallah and the food supplies of Xibbard are good examples of helping our new players. I’m thinking about reopening the coaching program. In this program new players get an experienced coach who can learn them the basics in erepublik and introduce them in our community.
With this points, our great members of GPN and everyone in the Netherlands we should work for a better future.

New phase of your party! We had the JvdG phase, the Mr. Sphere phase and the van Spijck phase. All with different ideas and specs. I wish you guys all the best and you know I have great respect for you as person. So I hope for the best for the next months. Hope we can work together, as we did in the Mr. Sphere phase. 😉
On the communes, as far as I know there are also members of private MU's in the State Communes. So I don't know what you are proposing?
I want to make sure the future communes won't only be used by state mu players. I want to make sure private mu's and state mu's will be treated the same.
Its been a very very long time the state Communes were for state MUs only.
If you ask me State MU's should have their own communes. And the same goes for Private MU's they should have their own companies.
Otherwise every citizen and MU should get the same amount of weapons if they work for the state communes, but that is my own opinion. I do hope Forsite will give me that luxury of having my opinion.

I hope GPN posthumously dies the stillborn death it deserved the very moment it enter this eWorld. I am serious here. GPN was conceived by a (Christian) lunatic, made great by a pretty ok guy (Sphere) and made into the sheep-party of eNL. vS leaving is a blessing in disguise, no one in GPN dares to stand up against him, and he ain't no saint I tell ya, oh hell no he aint no saint.
Good luck, you'll need it.... rename your party and I'll be a lot more friendly fo' sure, but GPN has never ever given me a reason to be civil.
We won't change the name. If you can't look further than the name of a party than that's your problem. We don't have to be friends, but if you can't act civil to another political party, you ain't worth it to be leader of one.
You attitude doesn't give other people any reason to be civil either. As for changing GPN's name so you'll be more friendly, who are you kidding? Someone who delights so much in nurturing such old grudges is not interested in 'being more friendly'.
I don't have to be civil to a party that swallows in self-justification while breaking and bending the law repeatedly. By giving the most proponent person of this -in my view- distasteful culture a honorary title, this party clearly give a sign GPN will never change for the better. But hey, you are more than welcome to prove me wrong.

Nonsense. You're a well known MdR opponent (I'm being rather kind here) and you're trying to find out whether he still plays a role in GPN. Why else your interest in if our new PP communicates with him and in what way? Transparency is one thing but prying into a party's internal affairs and relations is something entirely different.

The PP is the first one to contact by other parties. The title can be read in different ways. The quiestion is if its a honorary title or is he still the one in charge. I read it as a honorary title to keep him connected to the party. I dont see how above was an attack. Other parties need to know who is in charge if they want to negotiate.
I think it's cowardness to use the feud between me and vS to not have to answer a very simple question. You are making it into something it is not to not having to answer a question and I think your unwillingness to not answer it says a lot. Seeing GPN is the 2nd party of eNL and vS is a citizen of a enemy country that we are about to attack the question at hand seems to be very much more than just an internal GPN matter. In the name of transparency which you like so much GPN should answer the question.
Cowardness? Getting personal now, is that the best you can do? Sorry, but I'm not playing that game. I've kept things polite, if all you can do is react with these type of insults that will only reflect what kind of person you are.

Thank you for the honor 071! I can't read the eDutch media anymore since I'm with eNorwegian cs. I wish you and our great party all the best!
Don't expect me to return any time soon though. This PTOed eNL has taken a turn for the wrong, by turning on it's best friend and ally eNorway. Don't be fooled by Aurora, I had a talk with their hq myself, and it turns out that eNL is in no way welcome there. Not a smart move; burning old bridges when you don't have anything new. I hope the political tide in eNL will turn soon, and this country will return to their friends. I know for a fact that eNL was very welcome in LETO. I wish the good ones in eNL all the best! Keep on fighting the PTOers, and let's hope one day they'll all leave.
