Seisan's CP Platform

Day 1,624, 18:00 Published in South Africa South Africa by Seisan

Alright, eSA. Its time for me to tell you why you should vote for me in the upcoming elections.

And if you dont then you will pay the price for your lack of vision.

Alright, so, if you've read Crum's article, you already know the major thing I want to tackle this term is population and activity. These are the two areas really holding us back so, if we do nothing to resolve these issues, eSA will continue to stagnate. The question now is: what can be done to get players more involved in eSA and what can we do to bring in more players?

Some people have already taken steps necessary for this change to come about and I'm hoping that these methods will continue and have the desired effect. All positions of Cabinet can assist so, should you put your trust in me, I will ensure my cabinet works to the best of their abilities.

The Ministry of Domestic Affairs will play the biggest role in what I have planned. The departments of Education will be posting regular articles to assist the new comers to the game/eSA on the first steps they should take to paying the game and becoming integrated into our community. The Department of Mentorship will take the active role of guiding the new players in playing the game and try to make the experience as enjoyable as possible. The Head of the ministry and his/her deputy will be tasked with coming up with contests or games that can get the community involved and distribute prizes for winning/participation. This will not only show that we do, indeed, have a community of active players, but also show that we reward our community members who choose to be active. Most importantly, if new players see us having fun in the game, they will be more likely to stick around and try to join in.

The PG, and even the Assegai, have fallen into inactivity. Having been in the PG for nearly two years and part of Assegai when it was fully active, it is depressing to see our military in the state its in. Joining the military is a great opportunity for new players since they hand out supplies to aid in battles. But what happened to the recruitment articles? What happened to seeing screenshots posted of Assegai in action? What happened to the Department of Defense daily order articles? These things not only guided players and gave them something to aspire for, but also gave us a small presence in the eWorld. Sure, the bigger countries have more heavy hitters and can hit harder, but when we stormed into IRC channels with our cry of "ASSEGAI FTW!" it showed we weren't just some insignificant country content to sit around. It showed our commitment and that we had a presence. It showed we cared. It is my hopes to work with the MoD and eSAAF to bring back some of the spirit that has gone out of our military.

Tariq and Tenshibo pointed out some reforms that our Foreign Affairs Ministry could undergo and I have to agree with their points. It is a necessity we change the public image of this country and the MoFA team will be critical in doing so. The Minister and his ambassador team can be the perfect way to relay news and information from eSA to other countries while warming up to the community there and establishing bonds and contacts we can utilize to bring eSA more into relevance. As Tenshibo pointed out, other countries will do more damage or conquer more territories, but that doesn't mean we cant be proud of what we have. We have a smaller population? So what? That just means we have a close-knit community willing to support one another. We dont do as much damage? Who cares? Shout it loud and clear that you just dropped a couple million in a battle for our allies. It shows we are still here; that we still care. We need to be proud of what we have and not dwell on our shortcomings.

The MoS team is going to have the biggest task ahead of them since my plan is to bring in more people to eSA. Obviously, we cant just have random people approved by whomever, but we also cant throw away anyone who stops by. There is the threat of PTOes ever looming overhead, but we need more people for this community to grow and, yes, that will mean bringing in people from ONE countries. The few we have here in eSA should be enough of an example that not all of them will wish our demise. This team will need to use their best investigative skills and judgement when determining who gets to be let in and who we turn away. They will also have to closely monitor the elections so that we can do our best to keep out those who do wish us harm or just plain dont care about eSA.

eSA, I am asking you to give me the opportunity to help change our eCountry. To take is steps forward and bring back the days where we had the passion and drive to make something of ourselves. I know most of you have the same wish so, I ask you, to give me a chance and help bring eSA forward. What say you, people of eSouth Africa?
