We've tried before. Both MikeBane and I on my older account. If Scotland was in the game, I'd obviously want to be the dictator of Scotland. So yeah. Make it happen eRepublik.

Well for obvious reasons Scotland won't become a country. If they did eRepublik would have to separate Wales and N.Ireland as independent nations as well. However when Kosovo became independent in RL Erep held a massive public vote from all players whether it should be independent in game or stay apart of Serbia, obviously it lost the vote. My point by that is, we will have to wait and see about the Scottish referendum in RL coming up. If it passes then it is likely Scotland would become independent in eRep.

Iceland would be cool. If Scotland's becoming independent RL, then I'll be damned if there's an online vote to have it free on here. It should be made it's own country by default. N.Ireland and Wales would stay in the eUK because they'd still be apart of it in RL.

I remember the old days it was an irish thing to suggest iceland as a new nation because of a theoretical border with them could mean someone smaller for us to take resources from and bully.

Yea, I think Kosovo had a vote only because many countries still didn't recognize it legally since it declared its own independance. With Scotland it will be different because its an organized referendum that has been years in the making and it would be recognized by the UK, where as Serbia didn't recognize Kosovo's independence. If the Scottish referendum passes Im pretty sure its guaranteed it would be independent in erep to.

I think there is more chance for a snowball to survive hell than for Scotland to gain independence in RL. The notion that Scotland would be a greater friend to Ireland if it became an Enation is debatable. If RL is anything to go by they would side with Johnny Saxon at every opportunity.

Who knows. I've never met another Scot who buys a word from Cameron or the No Campaigns mouths. Unless, of course, they happen to be Rangers fans.

It would likely suffer the fate of many new or small nations. Get flooded by enough TWO multis to establish political control, and then simply be used as a puppet nation.

Have to agree with Bhane, since a lot of RL Scottish hold UK cs they would be more inclined to join TWO.

Actually I dont think the rastafari religion is as big as you think in Jamaica also I see a problem with RL jamaicans joining the game. If you dont have a home base your just gonna become from the start a bad reflection on the game. As to Scotland it has nothing to do with independence they are creating a new nation in the grey zones or obviously where in a RL nation.

I think they should add Vietnam, decent population, decent percent of them with access to the internet, decent per capita income, and if you play up the whole nationalism you might actually get a decent number of them to join. Lord knows Asia in erep needs something to spice it up aside from China and Taiwan bumfucking a bunch of nations with like 30 active people. Algeria and Morocco might be possible as well, again due to their decent sized RL populations and income. They may not seem great but they are comparable to multiple already existing nations in erep, I mean we have North Korea for fucks sake. There is also some animosity between them in RL, erep can play off that to get a good number of them here hopefully.
