Ireland has changed much since the last issue. Here I will briefly update those on some events going on in the world, along with some tragic events in our ehomeland.
THE UNLUCKY DAVID
The Goliath that is the eUS has continued storming through the Republic of Macedonia. The US's new president Henry Arundel has stated that he intends to continue "kicking them in the pants" so I wouldn't expect things to get any easier for FYROM anytime soon.
BATTLE IN THE PACIFIC
Indonesia is continuing to battle for it's independence, as Australia fights on to free itself from Chile. Chile took Australia rather quickly and hasn't let up yet. The new president is PheonixGreen, another member of the APP. (center-left)
LOSING SCOTLAND
Both Scotland and Northern Ireland have been unfortunately returned to the UK, as we've had many of our soldiers MIA lately and most of the public preoccupied with homeland affairs. The new president of the UK, Talon Kardde has stated that although he intends to keep peace with Ireland, their congress is soon to vote on whether or not to keep the region swap deal.
MONEY TALKS
Recently the Irish Treasury was robbed by whom many believe to be Sawc, a former presidential candidate. Sawc was discovered to have had a past involving theft from the Canadian government followed by the ILP publicly denouncing his running and removing their support. In anger, he left the country and moved to the US. As it is believed, from there he used passwords that he had access to and stole the 3/4 of the Irish treasury. Many believe even after this that he is also responsible for logging into multiple Irish organizations and putting out false information. A close friend of his, Meow2 stated that Sawc admitted to taking the money. Meow2 also left to return to eIsrael.
MY CURRENT MISSION
I have been more occupied with events in Ireland than usual. I haven't been fighting for Australia and now that Mexico has gained peace with the eUS I have no reason to fight for their independence at this moment either. If Talon Karrde keeps his word and Ireland isn't thrown into a battle that we can't afford, then when things settle down I will look further for action in the Pacific.

It's really sad that sawc was behind the theft. Especially after what he was saying to us on chat.

I agree. He had never done anything but good to help Ireland, just to betray us in the end. It still could have been avoided I believe but at the same time it proved that his loyalties run thin and it would have happened eventually regardless.
Raven, I'd like to say that your articles are always nice to read. I hardly enjoy anyone else's articles as much as I enjoy yours. Hopefully you'll write more.
As for Sawc, he proved a traitor twice now. If the admins do nothing, then eRepublik is just in a laughable state of affairs.

I wonder whether this was sawc's long term plan or whether he just threw a hissy fit after being cut from the ILP CP nomination?
@Liam: I wonder that too, but I really think it was more out of anger and revenge. I see nothing beneficial in logging into the DOD and FA like he did, other than to get back at us.

I would bet my money ICA is behind that....its their signature all over...and they benefits most with this scandal.
Its the perferct way for ICA, a well known scammers, thiefs to fight back and show ILP or IFP in bad light...
A perfect way they show how their long term plunder of state funds is nothing in compare with this.
IF sawc did it...he did it with ICA help...i mean it was obvious they knew it was sawc from day one.
The Kurgan has a point. It seemed that everybody (ICA) knew it was sawc from the get-go.
