PM urges the business sector to participate in the fight against corruption

The Prime Minister of Armenia, Hovik Abrahamyan currently attributes great importance to the active cooperation with the nation's business sector in the on-going fight against corruption. According to the PM, this cooperation is currently overlooked. the Examiner reports that the PM have noted the abovementioned in the session of the government-formed Anti-Corruption Council.

The PM said during a session meeting that "During the session, we talked about the negative impact of corruption on various spheres of the state & social activities. The negative impact of corruption on the development of the nation's economy and the realisation of the economic investments was noted to be very immense.", He also said that "He attributes great importance to the active cooperation with the business sector in the fight against corruption which seemingly has been overlooked, He'd like the business sector to participate in this process, The latter(business sector) has provide our budget income from which the government of Armenis is able to give pensions, allowances, salaries and to equip our army"

The PM have assigned the Government staff to hold various meetings with representatives of the nation's business sector to give them a possibility of voicing corruption issues, presenting their approaches, and the government will try to reach effective solutions as a result of the discussions that the government has organized.

The Anti-Corruption Council has confirmed the new anti-corruption strategy which will be included in the forthcoming government session to be confirmed by it. The new strategy was introduced by the Deputy Justice Minister of Armenia, Arsen Mkrtchyan.
