On toolboxes and Bazookas

Yet another in my series where we make general assumptions, some of whom will be proved wrong, and put them out to the local community who can agree, demur, comment upon or just pain disagree with.

Let's start off with the easy one toolboxes.

When you work on your land you'll occasionally pick up free toolbox parts from your farms and mines. In order they are, Hammer, Piers, Saw, Shovel and Tape Measure. I am assuming that the parts are not random, and some parts are rarer than others. So for example, I currently have 7 hammers, 0 pliers, 1 saw, 3 shovels and 5 tape measures in my possession. One assumes therefore, that pliers are the rarest article, but I could be wrong in my assumption.

Once assembled, on 5 separate occasions thereafter, you double the raw materials you create from any one of your farms and mines. You have no control over this, so I assume a certain amount of intelligence can be used on this. For example, only create the toolbox before you start working on your more lucrative farms/mines. Or even not working on your weaker farms/mines until your more lucrative ones are open for business again.

Toolboxes, nor their components can be traded or given away, so it's very much pot luck.

The second random element, and a far more important and interesting reward is the bazooka. I would imagine that this one article, certainly before the advent of Q6 weapons, was the most contentious element in eRepublik battlefields.

I'm assuming this, because of what the weapon brings to the table. Firstly it yields 10,000 points of influence, and secondly it kills every opponent it's used against. As it can be used three times, this means that in any given battle, for every bazooka you have you can do 30,000 points of influence. Having access to a few of these, or access to an army of bazooka wielders, would presumably turn the tide in any battle if used judiciously.

Bazookas, like toolboxes, are randomly generated, although in this instance they are part of 'loot' that drops from any opponent that you've knocked to zero in a battle. here are the component parts:

Scope
Rocket
Barrel
Stock
Trigger

Again, the assumption is that each part is weighted in terms of rarity. Currently I have 15 barrels, 0 scopes, 3 rockets, 21 triggers and 12 stocks. I reckon that barrels, triggers and stocks are all 'common', whereas the scopes and rockets are rare.

Apart from randomly acquiring bazookas, you can also guarantee getting them by finishing the daily in your military unit (defeat 25 enemies fighting for X in Y), or by accomplishing various missions.

A bit like the toolbox, you don't have a lot of choice where you use it, nor do you get the opportunity to trade or sell it or component parts. However, there is a way around this, for in battles you can swap your weapons around, as long as you have more than 1 weapon in your inventory (bare hands don't count). So it is possible to build up a reasonable stash of bazookas if you're prepared to have a constant supply of weapons to hand. However, when you consider that the cheapest weapon option is IEP 6.60 per hit, it's a rather expensive one at that.

From a battlefield and army perspective though, it occurs to me, that having a backbone of bazooka warriors on call, who have tooled up through the dailies and have been spoon fed cheap weapons to keep them, seems a logical precaution for critical battles for the future.
