My Take On The Dictatorship

“ Dictatorship naturally arises out of democracy, and the most aggravated form of tyranny and slavery out of the most extreme liberty ”
- Plato

Hey everyone,

Before I start, I want to make it clear that I will not be discussing the candidates (Myself, Don, RTK, Moo etc.) in this article nor will I be commenting on the current dictator. I will just be discussing the situation.

It is a pity that eIreland must introduce a dictatorship but it is a necessity after the two attempted M.T.O.s. If we were to lose our country, it could be a very long time before we get it back... and who knows what state the country could be in. The situation would not have arisen if we had not been robbed by a previous C.P. as we would have the finances to protect ourselves. However, there's no point in living in the past, we just have to look forward and build our country back up again!

A lot of people have been wondering how life in eIreland will change upon the election of a new dictator. The short answer is, nothing will change as long as we vote a trustworthy and honest person into dictatorship. This is because our dictator should be nothing more than a button-pusher who listens to the people of the Dáil (Congress) and the Uachtarán (President). Therefore, I urge you all to really think about who you will lend your support to as it really is a huge decision which will impact our future.

The democratically elected dictator will rule the country for a predetermined period of time (there was talk of it being for 3 months but I can't confirm this).

If the wrong person is elected dictator, we will be in a lot of trouble. The dictator can pass any law (but cannot change the new citizen message or the law for impeaching the Uachtarán - President in English) and she/he is also the sole individual who can give out citizenship passes. There will still be a Dáil (Congress) and an Uachtarán (President) but unfortunately, they will have no power in the country whatsoever. The dictator could potentially take over all of our national organisations and leave us totally in the dark also.

The dictator will receive gold while in the position. If we vote correctly, the gold will be put in the country's bank. If we vote incorrectly, this gold will go to the individual. The amounts this dictator would receive are as follows:
Dictator Trainee – 5 GOLD - Awarded to a dictator lasting 10 consecutive days in office
True Dictator – 50 GOLD - Awarded to a dictator lasting 30 consecutive days in office

Let's say we voted in someone who is not what he/she seemed to be. Firstly, we would have to wait three days prior to any rebellious activity. We would then have to gather a further 200,000 just to have a go at overthrowing the unjust dictator. Despite having a determination bonus, entering an unnecessary battle we might not win is something we must avoid.

Finally, I just want to make it explicitly clear that these upcoming elections are of the utmost importance so please:

VOTE WISELY
