I would have carried on the race. If you choose a very controversial running mate you and the running mate should have realised that you were going to pick up some flack. Name calling and bashing each other is childish but it does seem to be the norm in politics we see it daily in real life even in the USA it was very transparent. All it seems from you and ejdatful that you started losing so you chickened out, and i know that is not who you are but people will see this and believe that really sorry about that.

I did not see Ejdatful getting pushed about anything before what he said on forum, therefore my reaction too. Sorry to hear you don't want any further votes. Al, you should have chosen better. Ejdatful is known to be very fast with his insults. You would have done better if you have chosen Leon, who might not see eye to eye with the rest of us, but at least he is not so quick on insulting. He would have been the better choice, but alas, you have dug the hole you fell into.

I have no clue what went on here but I had no part in it for a change. Insults come easy to Edjatful whether provoked or not. Stand for what you believe is right and take the flack as it comes, that is what I did whether it was controversial or even right in most people eyes did not matter, I stood firm and did what I believed is right.

If Al beleives his actions were right then I respect his choice and understand where he is coming from, he doesnt have to explain any of this to you guys but at least he took the time to do so anyway.

I have said what I said, but I still respected what Al did. If he had won with Ejdadful as his VP, he would have been one very disrespected CP.

I feel Al did the right thing by pulling out of the election since it caused such controversy and he is always a man of honour and integrity. I don't blame him at all for not stooping to the level of mud slinging that happened. I also feel people in eSA should stop being so silly about 'the turks' from what I have read all they want is a normal life in eSA. We are supposed to be the 'rainbow nation' after all in RL and hopefully here too. Hate me if you want but that my opinion and I am sticking to it.

All is good and well, but why is it only the people of eSA that are being told how wrong they are, what about the other party, or is it ok that we just have to turn the other cheek every time we are being insulted? Unfortunately this sword cuts both ways, so maybe you should have a talk to the other side as well, but make sure you do it in public like you do it to the people of eSA. Let everyone see how you do it.

Al IS an honorable player no doubt, what was done was done with the best of intentions, while trying to keep all parties happy, which is not possible in any political issue.

Part of politics is also diplomacy, and here i failed Al, i definitely could have acted with more diplomacy, that is MY shortcoming and something i will endeavor to improve to become a better servant to eSA, as we all, both sides, are here for eSA ultimately and want the best for our country. Passion sometimes overtakes logical thinking, both sides.
