What’s the deal with Romania taking PEI already?
For those of you not able to follow daily events, here is what happened in a nutshell:
eCanada and allies worked hard to get the coveted resource bonus of Neodymium. Then we got it, and celebrated a bit too hard over it.
Then without really hearing anything, eRomania launched an attack and secured PEI.
While our government said that we may rent it in the future, details have been scarce.
Today, eRomania’s government released a statement: “Following the agreement made with eCanada, eRomania will rent three regions, one of them being Prince Edward Island, Canada, a region in which we helped to get Neodymium. Rental details will be announced in an article by the Foreign Ministry.” (translated from Romanian)
Wonder when eCanadians will hear what regions are being rented and what we are getting for them. Strange that the only news about our regions being rented is coming out of eRomania.
Hope that the deal means that we will all get a chunk of the cash. Or else:

The rental dead is worth $210,000 per month combined
Serbia take: Yukon, Nunavut, NWT
Romania take: PEI, NB and Quebec.
Sadly "As Romania was instrumental in getting Neodymium for us in the first place we have agreed to rent it to them." is considered scarce information.
A proper article covering all details of the rental arrangement will be published when both countries are in place and the new resources become active. There isn't a rush atm, as both Portugal and UAE are still in our regions due to TWs and neither Serbia nor Romania hold all the regions they get per the rental arrangement.
I don't get how a rental deal can be made without even knowing how the new resources are going to affect the game.

It all happened so fast. We unexpectedly got Neodymium one day and negotiated the rent the next then Romania proposed the AS. Barely had time to process it all myself.
I was going to mention the rent figures in my conclusion article but it just did not feel right somehow. Like gloating or something.

Serbia/Rom are not strange bedfellows to Canada. We've had an MPP/been allied with Rom for most of the last 6 years; and the new rental deal with Serbia is just an extension of the previous one that freed us from the albanian scourge and kept us secure for months.
At this point in the game, it would be renting to the eUS that would make strange bedfellows.
to be honest if that is what you get per month you got robbed anyway. a nation like serbia makes 300000 a day if you only get 210000 total per month you totally got screwed over.not that i as current serbian citizen give a hoot but i thought that there would be atleast a 50000 rent per day payable from serbia. you should get closer to between 1 to 3 million per month

I think the rental topic and agreement can be revised in 3 months time after everyone has a better grasp of the new system after implementation.
