I once made a revision article with information on the selection-process for the Newspaper of the Month series. this oneThis is a new revised publication which has more details and some info on the rules i put on this. To be more specific, this new version is more in line with the latest changes to the newspapers options.
Notes and rules(guidelines).
I will explain in some way how the selections are made and how voting will proceed. I also add some rules on how the series work.

Notes:
► From the 27th of every month until the next 27th of every month i will keep track of all articles published in eBelgium. I will have a text-document with all the url's/links to this months articles(with the exception of government newspapers). i call that document the review-list.

► Any newspaper owner/editor who has made publications(articles) between 27th and 29th of every month but did not make any other articles that month will be added to the next month review-list.

► On the 27th of every month i will review all articles and determine there quality and then see how many newspaper owner/editors have published and select 8 of them(the candidates) and at last on the 28th the selection will be reduced to 4(the nominees).

► These 4 selected newspapers will be placed in the poll i set up(see the previous article). This poll has 2 things to fill in:
_1) Your profile-link(poll will clarify what it is)
_2) 4 possible selections named as this: newspaper owners name followed by newspaper-link(so that you can take a look at the work of the nominee's).

► The voting article will be published on the 29th of every month(28th in February) and this poll will last until it is no longer visible in the Top News feed on the main page(19.30 CET officially closed). The publication of the winner will be made at most 2 days after the voting ends or the next following weekend.
Rules(guidelines):
Read/remember these lines to avoid disqualification.
► Foreign newspapers that publishes an article in the Belgian news-feed will not qualify for this series. The idea is to promote and stimulate Belgian Media.

► The article review-list can be available to you personally and on request only(use in-game pm).

► Newspapers that where selected as nominee can not be re-selected as a nominee for the next month. These newspapers will have to wait for a new chance in the month after that one. To put it short: you can only be a nominee every 2 months.

► If a nominee removes his last publication before the end of the voting-process, he/she will loose their status as nominee(this also applies to candidates).

► If a publication made within that month is in violation with eRepublik law, the newspaper will be disqualified for that month.

► A permanent ban in-game will also disqualify a newspaper. Temporary bans are not a reason to disqualification unless the ban is related to the newspaper itself.

► Anyone can vote!!! It does not matter what your nationality nor affiliation might be. Anyone is allowed to vote!!!

► Belgian publications made by foreign newspapers in the belgian news-feed will be added to a separate document. This separate list will be used for the NotY awards of 2015 and the following years after that.

► This new revised guidelines/rules will be valid starting from 27th January 2015 until a new revision has been drafted.
I will retain the right to make the selections of the 4 nominee's for every edition. I will do my best to make the selection as fair as possible and from a neutral point of view(no pre-determinations of a candidate).
