Hi kids!

I wanted to take a minute of your time to speak about the SHIELD 2 contest. It will be a week long endeavor which will prove who is the strongest in the New World. This will be quite exciting and will bring some fun into an otherwise drab game. Without further ado allow me to explain everything you need to know about SHIELD 2.

Everything You Need To Know

National Shield 2
- The tournament will start on Day 2,310 and last until the end of Day 2,316
- Each citizen can fight to reach and even surpass damage targets which are calculated based on their current military skills and presented as percentages
- Each country has its own target milestones based on its military capability
- Citizens can see their progress, along with the progress of their citizenship country, on the homepage
- Citizens and countries are rewarded based on their performance
- BS, yada yada, more BS...

It is interesting to me that the music world has so little regard for bluegrass music. Music people will talk for hours about 3rd-rate rock and jazz bands from the 70s because they began incorporating this classical scale and that little-used mode, etc., but when you mention bluegrass or country music, their eyes glaze over and you are informed that that is not "real music."

Earl Scruggs was a virtuoso player. If he had played guitar instead of banjo and brought that same level of innovative playing to that instrument, he would likely have been as famous as Hendrix. And in the video, he makes it look completely effortless, the way Chet Atkins made everything look on his Gretsch.

Erm... what's all this about a tournament?

I always wondered what would happen if the little Dutch boy met the Swiss miss. There is a complicated thought process involved. If you can proceed on your own you quite likely will find the punch line amusing. If not you would most likely have been offended as this is not PC.

No weekly challenge? No 20/40/60 health per6 rewards for the tournament?
I was expecting this week to be EPIC... but they just took the wind out of the sails. What a complete lack of forethought on the part of the devs.

I was hoping for epic 100 per 6 minutes. They didn't even keep the standard 20per from the weekly rewards. Instead, they choked health regen for the tournament, in order to make a cheap ploy of a money grab for goldbuyers to increase energy bar sales.

FailRep. This could have been a fun event.
Instead, I get to watch eRep devs trying milk the cash cow. I still will not consider any sort of gold purchases until eRep decides to provide customer service for the tickets they refuse to answer. This lame event certainly will not convince me to change my mind.
