I used Excel and everything!
Sweet Drinker
A little over 2 years ago I ran a series highlighting an accelerated decline in the erep-playing population.
Since I've been looking at demographics recently, might as well share!
The chart below is order from largest Dec2015 voter turnout to least:
The light blue column represents national election votes from Oct2013.
The next (grey) column indicates the change in voter turnout between Oct2013 and Nov2015
The white columns are voter turnouts of Nov2015, and Dec2015. Yellow cells indicate single candidate elections.
The last (grey) column is the % change between the most recent 2 elections.
Ireland is marked in green for convenience 🙂
For starters: erep has lost 43% of its voting population over the past two years.
^That is actually good news! The rate of player decay has decreased considerably. If the loss rates of 2-3yrs ago had maintained, I'd probably be writing this to no one (as opposed to barely anyone).
Don't pop any corks yet however, as the eglobe sheds another 1300voters over the last month...
In October 2013 eIreland represented less than 1/2 a percent of the voting population, 0.408%
In November 2015 eIreland represented 0.661% of global voters, a 60% increase in eIreland's global weight.
However eIreland has dropped to 0.564% of the global voting population over the last month.
eIreland currently is ranked 43rd internationally in total voter turnout.

Nice figures and thanks. o7
I should ad😛
When you factor eRep nation populations against their RL populations, English speaking nations traditionally perform very poorly. Ireland is a (very) small anglophone nation, but we have traditionally lead the anglophone group in player-to-RLpopulation.
lot of yanks like myself. Murica has 7 times more people with Irish Ancestry than all the people in Ireland.
don't forget the "Lazarus" voters who rise from the grave to vote and then hibernate for another 30 days
I'd assume that to be a global phenomenon
Nice numbers you've got there.
Colorist
Slowly dying!
So Ireland is one of the least worst countries for player retention. Another decade and our 50 population will make us one of the most feared in the world.
lol
If we were a few times our current size, that would be true.
However not everything in erep is proportionate. We now hover dangerously close to some constants which would add a new wrinkle of adversity.
I wasn't being entirely serious 😉
I'm not being either.
But we did manage to lose 8% of our population over 2years while the world lost nearly over 40%. Ofc we could never 'become Serbia' that way, but we could 'become uk' if those rates held for a few more yearts 🙂
my vote
actually i see a giraffe in your stats regarding Indonessia. They had a recent baby boom. So their 6000 citizens must be reasonably correct. the bad thing is they do not really show all data. and that is a real problem. the giraffe lies in it that +- 6000 players joined but that not even 10% participated in the first election you tracked the 166 of the last election would be 2.76 of a recent boom or even less. it seems therefore they had a big intact followed by a large scale flatline of many accounts. as i say too bad they dont track the whole deal as it would help them as well understand possible shortcomings.
if you go to any world in the west(innogames) one can see full rankings of players so level 1's is dead players and i remember they would have 6000 players on level 1 and about 1500 on other levels.
It's true that this chart is limited to one set of data.
When viewed against active fighters (easy enough to do in smaller nations)
there is only a loose correlation as far into it as I've looked (admittedly not that far).
