There is a lot to report from eRepublik, and since this magazine is global, reporting on all sectors of the eWorld can be a little difficult, that is why eWorld Economy Magazine is searching for additional journalist to cover more sectors and topic on the global economic, social and political stage.

Applicants should be able to write articles based on either politics, business, economy, and/or social change (more details below, PLEASE READ).

You might be wondering: "Aren't all "newspapers" more or less, focusing on those basic topics?" The answer is somewhere in between, the point of the eWorld Economy Magazine is to describe how each of these different topics (social change, politics, etc) affect the economy, and how citizens, governments, or businesses can financially profit or lose from these changes. For example: if a new president of a nation is elected, most newspapers would report the event, but would take a different view on it (some would just focus reporting the event itself). eWorld Economy Magazine would only report the event if, for example, the new president has different approaches to the economy, and what this could mean from a financial standpoint for both buisnesmen and individual citizens, etc. If you are still unsure, take a look at "The Economist". "The Economist" is a REAL WORLD financial magazine (And eWorld Economy Magazine is not only based on "The Economist", but it is written in basically the same way), do a google search, and go to their official website and read some articles. That may help you understand what type of reporting and articles we're looking for.

DIFFERENT ROLES: As a journalist you can do either of the following: You can report on events, and draw simple conclusion based on facts on the economical impacts that it could have in the future (or present), on either citizens of that specific nation (or eWorld), or how it would affect the eWorld economy, etc. The other option you have as a journalist is write research reports (as i have done, and am still currently doing, in my special 3-part report). The reports can focus on smart investing, the economical history (and predictions for the near future) of a nation (or of the eWorld), ect.

So whether you like to report on events, or write text-version documentaries, the choice is yours.

To help you understand the difference better: Event Reporting is like CNN news flashes, while Research Reports are more like hour long discovery documentaries.

THE PAY
As a rule, you can expect to be paid more for research reports, than for event reporting, simply because of the fact that research reports require more time and research, whereas a simple news flash (or announcement) with a small conclusion and background, may not take as long to research, and may not be as difficult to write. As a rough estimate, the pay is as following:

EVENT REPORTING: 8 CAD for every 500 words written, or 4 CAD for every 250 words written, and so on (basically 0.016 CAD per WORD)

RESEARCH REPORTS (mini "documentaries", reports, or lessons): 15 CAD for every 500 words written, or 7.5 CAD for every 250 words written, etc (basically 0.03 CAD per WORD).

If wish to be paid in GOLD, you can request to have your salary delivered in gold instead.

QUALITY STANDARDS: you should try to write the best article you can, and submit it to the chief editor (Octavian_F) for review.

Octavian_F can also send you a private email, from which you can send your article to if it is longer than 2000 characters, because you cannot send private messages longer than that.

Also, after submitting 3 or more articles, or if one of you articles achieves over 18 votes, you are eligible for a small cash bonus, and an increased pay for any future articles!

*NOTE*: Just as an example: for Part 1 of the eWorld Economy Magazine special 3 Part report, you would receive around 28 CAD, as the article is a RESEARCH REPORT, and is around 1400 words long.

If you are still interested in becoming a full time journalist, or if you would like to sell us an interesting article, please contact chief editor, Octavian_F, and a contract/deal can be negotiated. Thanks.
