Hidden Gems of eCan Politics? Four Small Parties and Why You Should Join Them

Day 1,888, 19:24 Published in Canada Canada by Yuri Kaczynski

While the top five parties form the axis around which the eCanadian political scene revolves, no member of the group is safe from slipping to a lower position. Any smaller party may ascend to the top five at any time, even if it requires months of campaigning. Are these four non-top five political parties hidden gems in eCan politics? I asked the PPs of each party a selection of questions about their goals. Here are their responses.

Sanika Jameson of True North

What is your basic party platform?

-The basic party platform is one of self dependance. We need to increase our MU's ability to self supply. We need to increase player interest. We need to become the Amazing north we all know ecanada to be.

What quality/belief do you believe sets your party apart from its counterparts?

-I think some of the things to set us apart is the independant and aggressive streak. I will say that I support the Rylde initiative of persuing Asgard as an alliance, but I do believe being neutral would be more beneficial. That said I mean to be an aggressive strategist. War is still the drive of the economic machine in this eworld.

Which eCan party do you believe is your opposite?

-I don't believe there is an opposite to True North. True North is a very nationalist movement, so while we all support ecanada, we do it differently.

Is there an eNation which you believe could serve as an example for eCanada?

-I also don't think there is a model for our actions. We are unique in our geopolitics. Few if any other ecountries are surrounded by world powers, and yet aren't already an intrinsic part of those powers conflicts or are too small to be irrelevant. We will forge our own path.

What can new members expect to partake in?

-Right now, a lot of the ground work for the party is being made on the fly, by me. So any new members can expect to be involved directly in the growth and formation of the particulars of the foundations of the party. For players just wanting to join a cause, it is a place to go to show you support an independant, self-reliant eCanada.

What real life politician (past or present) would best represent your party and its values?

-I suppose the closest real life politician I feel like relating to the party is Justin Trudeau. Mostly on the grounds that there is a legacy rolled up in him, a history of achieving that he was born into. Such is ecanada as well. There is a legacy of achieving great things. We just need someone to step up into those shoes.

What would be the most noticeable change brought on by your party securing power?

-I think the biggest changes would be the work towards growing involvement, across the board. We need our fighters honing their skills but we also need writers honing their quills, so to speak. A real sense of community, one based in the game, and spills out onto forums.

5440 of The Alpine Assembly

What is your basic party platform?

-It's still in it's formative stages, especially as it seems like something that should be co-authored. I can say that any party I'm a part of is for freeing politics from incompetence, and freeing eCanada from boredom and/or being boring. I should also point out that eCanada seems to put a bit too much value into a party platform, which is at best an oversimplification.

What quality/belief do you believe sets your party apart from its counterparts?

-perspective

Which eCan party do you believe is your opposite?

-The Apathethic non-Party, solely based on the name. Although nothing against Sebastian, from his paper he seemed like he was cool when he was actually active.

Is there an eNation which you believe could serve as an example for eCanada?

-Bulgaria. Only the Bulgaria of last summer though, I haven't followed what they've done recently. The Bulgaria that I remember was very ballsy and respectable. From the creating CoT to trying to airstrike in South America just to help eChile, they did what they wanted and often did it well. Honorable mention to Albania, for perseverance and general loyalty.

What can new members expect to partake in?

-Party elections? I would hope that new players in a party or eCanada in general would choose their own path, they simply need to be pushed in the right direction and shown their options. So nothing is guaranteed, except for elections and taxes.

What real life politician (past or present) would best represent your party and its values?

- Ataturk.

What would be the most noticeable change brought on by your party securing power?

-If it means a spot in the top 5, then it's mostly the same stuff from the first question. A more active media would definitely be one thing. We'll just have to see, in the off chance that that does happen.

Ricky Grimes of Le Front Nationale
(note: I asked these questions before Laurent Boucher became Le Front Nationale's President. I messaged him but didn't manage to get a response.)

What is your basic party platform?

-We are a party that is billingual with a strong francophone base, we believe in helping younger player, we believe in clean politics, no tolerence to corruption.
We want to do things differently in eCanada, we need new politician, new military figure, and that is what our party can provide to eCan

What quality/belief do you believe sets your party apart from its counterparts?

-We are a billingual party and that is something that has never been tried before, its the first time we try to do this.

Which eCan party do you believe is your opposite?

-Sons of anarchy, we have nothing to do with rolo and his friends... no corruption and drama here !

Is there an eNation which you believe could serve as an example for eCanada?

-Evry eNation has its problem, in eCanada we have nothing to be proud of when it comes to politics, there are alot of corrupted politician and drama here and i believe the saddest thing is there are not enough people that stand against it !
Thats why it never goes away.

What can new members expect to partake in?

-new member can count on our support to help them devellop. thats why we have a policy that gives 100CAD per week to player that ask for it in our party to buy
weapon and food and become better player. This is a good deal in our bad economy. The older player have to help the younger one, this is our philosophy. In some party and MU, they take evry ressource to give it to the elite and let the young player to themselves, thats not the case here.

What real life politician (past or present) would best represent your party and its values?

-obama, they stand for the people and they believe in liberty and doing the right things.

What would be the most noticeable change brought on by your party securing power?

-We would have a new breed of politician in ecanada. remember Fox_Blutch and chuckyNorris ? thats the kind of philosophy we have, zero tolerence for corruption and no drama !

Armour144 of Forward Canada

What is your basic party platform?

-Here's a link if anyone wants to give it a full reading - http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/forward-canada-revised-platform-2183899/1/20

Long story short, we want MU funding to be almost entirely for infrastructure development, we want tax rates right around where they are now (6th highest income per citizen, so I'd say we're doing pretty good), a monthly budget, and of course stay true to our allies.

What quality/belief do you believe sets your party apart from its counterparts?

-I don't have all the other party platforms on me at the moment, but I believe we're a bit different from the pack for wanting full MU infrastructure funding. We'd say goodbye to the daily free supplies and hello to communes (so everyone gets more weapons) and mercenary money (so we can use damage when we need it).

Which eCan party do you believe is your opposite?

-I'm not sure if we truly do have an opposite party. Maybe Sons of Anarchy because I tend to disagree with Rolo on every point he makes.

Is there an eNation which you believe could serve as an example for eCanada?

-I've always liked Sweden. Even when they joined ONE I still liked them. They stood up for Finland and Norway instead of bending to ONE. So imagine the US when they signed MPPs with Poland and Spain, and then the US saying "Screw you two" the moment Poland or Spain tries to invade us. That's not what happened, but that's what Sweden would've done cause they're awesome.

What can new members expect to partake in?

-Honestly, not much. Having a small party makes it hard to do much. However, there are leadership opportunities, so there's always that.

What real life politician (past or present) would best represent your party and its values?

-Haha, well RL policies tend to not translate well into eRep policies, so I can't really say which one of the RL politicians would fit best.

What would be the most noticeable change brought on by your party securing power?

-MU members would see a drop in supplies, followed by a large increase as soon as the communes are fully set up. Once communes are set up, funding can then be redirected to making communes as affordable as possible with an emphasis on providing new players with the food and weapons they need.
