Hello Colorado!
My name is Daphne Lilac and I’m currently running for congress in your fabulous e-state. These articles tend to be full of a tremendous amounts of drivel and I refuse to write a ton of trash to accomplish the ultimate tl;dr spam horizon.
If you want experience in your congress, dearest Colorado, I have it. I have something called “in-game” experience and here’s my resume:
-First appointed General of eUSA during the USCAN war (helped run the military extensively
- At least 2 term congress member
- 2 term mayor
- Vice President
- Chief of Staff
-Appointed National Security Council but I declined
-Ran for President last fall ‘08
Caveats: for those of you who are newer, no, there are no mayoral positions any longer. Also for those of you who entered game post V1: the beta players do not have the awards or badges for anything done in beta.
To address the obvious fact- my experience in government largely occurred during Beta. I’ve had a hiatus or two since then and I’ve traveled the e-world. I have spent my time learning and listening from other Erepublik citizens.
What do I believe in? I believe that this is a game and most real life tenets of politics cannot be implemented in game. Don’t ask me about how Libertarian I am. Also I’m not going to go to congress and put in a string of lulzy proposals
Some people cite real life experience to tout their abilities in this game. What do you need to know? I’m a grown, married woman, with two children. I have a partial college education. I read books like some people consume sodas and gaming is my hobby. My last job was tutoring but I don’t work anymore. If you feel that this doesn’t qualify me as worthy of our congress then by all means vote for your other candidates. But let me remind you of this: some of our BEST players have been high school players for example. Lest you be impressed by someone’s out of game resume realize that being a lawyer IRL for instance does not make you a better player here, nor being a political science expert. Any number of fields can give you a fine foundation of course. I find however the best quality players don’t have some devine right to politics in this game by way of RL resumes but rather in game interaction and ability to play.
If you want to know about other things like issues here it goes:
-Taxes, wow so fun, I’m not about increasing them for no reason and they better give me a sound reason to do so. Some taxes are necessary to fund our country, period.
-Foreign Policy: Of course a new alliance will be struck at some point. Good. Our last alliance was a failure for many reasons. I don’t want Eusa to be choked by too many agreements however. I like balance.
-Economy: see taxes above. Additionally, I feel that it is in our interest to have friendly negotiations with other countries that have higher tariffs for our exports. Pretty simple. I have a lot of more economically minded colleagues and I rely on their various opinions to decide my course.

You missed how your opponent is Ajay Bruno and how he claims to have called people in real life from eColorado to get them to vote for him and how you don't feel that to be necessary to do because well... that's just plain creepy. As a Colorado citizen, I'd like to tell Ajay where to go.

So you're saying that anyone that is a first time congressional run in Colorado isn't dedicated enough? That I do not also hold Colorado as a state worthy of decent and principled representation? I disagree. I have proven in the past within our country that I have a strong work ethic and a high level of patriotism. I love our e country and I will do what I can to improve it. If you want to sit around and dispute anyone else's ability to have a passion to complete our mission move along buddy.
Basically, AJ, you just told Colorado that you are running for president. If you win, you can't be a Congressman... so you will have to abandon them if you win President. If you truly love the state and want them to have solid representation, then you would take yourself out of the race just in case you do win President to ensure they actually do have representation for the next month.
So, do you really love Colorado that much? Would you actually drop out of the race for their benefit? I didn't think so.

I am not anyone's minion Ajay. Claire and I collaborate as party members. She is not a known compulsive liar. If you don’t understand egalitarianism I’m not shocked. Also instead of spamming me you could notice my resume of former positions in higher government here in our country.
This has nothing to do with a conservative cause. Also you are a massive hypocrite for trying to do a double barrel election and claim to have Colorado’s best interest in mind and running for POTUS at the same time and then having the gall to suggest this is a favor to Colorado b/c it, and I quote you, “enhances Colorado’s profile” to you run for POTUS.
