Free British Irregulars Statement

Day 3,076, 12:18 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by The Irregulars

Introduction

The Free British Irregulars, fights for freedom, fairness and justice, we fight for the UK and her allies, we are a member of the International Democratic Army Defense Network. Although the proud fighting arm of the Workers' Rights Party we will accept any man or woman who uphold our ideals.

The Free British Irregulars are commanded by myself (Huey George) and I've selected 2nd Commanders Michael Early and Roachford and our Regiment Captains wingfield, Philip Solo and Mitzuno.

We follow orders from the Ministry of Defence via their direct communication with Commanders, 2nd Commanders & Captains or Newspaper or fight to satisfy our conscience if orders are not forthcoming.

We have no formal policy regarding Mercenary and Freedom Fighter achievements or for Battle Hero / Campaign Hero achievements for non-allied nations although I trust and respect all Irregulars to recognise the need and follow MoD (Daily) orders for the important battles for the UK and her allies.

The Free British Irregulars were founded on Day 1,781 and across the majority of our 1,295 days and counting of our existence supplies have been provided by private individuals and not at tax payers expense. Although twice have in the past as Commander I have accepted rebates which totalled about 20-25% of the cost to supply the unit over a couple of periods constituting a total operating time of 60 days in response to a 6% Work Tax rate which increases our operational overheads.

We hold a Super Sunday Strike that invites all the enlisted members of the Free British Irregulars and other citizens to join a strike at a set time on Sunday to hit the same target at the same time to do maximum damage. Rewards are given to those who attend.

We will also encourage member to take part in any National Strikes run by the Ministry of Defence to support damage direction.

We are the proud fighting arm of the Workers' Rights Party although... we've never let politics into the Irregulars out of mutual respect and consideration for our diverse membership for different political backgrounds.

Defence Act

A new Act passed by Congress has now created the eUK its own National Military – British Armed Forces.

The British Armed Forces will be commanded by a three-man ‘Command Staff’ made up of the Commander and two 2nd Commanders. The Command Staff will be selected jointly by the Congressional Defence and Foreign Affairs Committee, and the Minister of Defence. So in essence a political appointment.

I'm unsure if the British Armed Forces have formal polices regarding Mercenary and Freedom Fighter achievements or for Battle Hero / Campaign Hero achievements for non-allied nations however they have promised to increase the eUK's damage direction and efficiency in our own battles and for allies.

The unit is funded by a dedicated core of suppliers and the Government (through 250,000cc set aside by Congress in a country organisation each calendar month for funding the National MU). Currently the British Armed Forces have received no Government funding.

The British Armed Forces will take part in any National Strikes run by the Ministry of Defence.

The British Armed Forces is a strictly non-political unit, and treats all eUK citizens equally.

Thoughts and invitation

This is a bit of an open letter to all members of the Free British Irregulars. From my point of view aside being recognised by Congress and the Government as the eUK's National Military Unit, having potential access to vast amounts of public funds and a politically appointed Commander, The British Armed Forces doesn't feel like a ground-breaking step-change to the defence of the UK or her allies as I don't feel lack of supplies or damage direction has been the root cause of many of the eUK's recent defeats.

I'm firmly dedicated to remain Commander of the Free British Irregulars and it is my wish that all Irregulars remain with the unit. Personally I opposed large Defence budget and if Defence spend is require to ensure the security of the UK, I feel Combat Orders are more cost effect option to draw additional foreign fighters as oppose to Government funding of supplies for soldiers where private citizens have been happy to foot this bill for a long time.

However I'll end that if any member of the Free British Irregulars would like to move to the British Armed Forces, I will wish you well, thank you for your time as an Irregular and wish you all the best, while I can't share you optimism that the British Armed Forces is the cost effective solution to the UK defence I hope I'm proven wrong.

If you'd like to remain an Irregular I'd like to invite your thoughts if your thoughts about our unit becoming a Ministry of Defence Affiliated Units?

From the Defence Act

Any eUK MU except for the NMU will be able to apply for MoD affiliate status.

Affiliate MUs will be required to:
Set their Daily Orders in accordance with MoD Orders, and ensure that their fighters follow those orders.
In Return Affiliate MUs will get:
The ability to claim a 50% Work Tax rebate for their Suppliers, when the tax rate is higher than 3%
Entitlement to receive prizes in National Strikes

Also finally to any members of the British Armed Forces reading (you already have many members that I have immense respect and adoration for) while the Command structure and source of funding for supplies of the unit is not for me. I have no doubt you'll become a vital part of the defence of the UK so thanks in advance the for effort and hard work that will elevate you to this position.

Thanks for reading
