eUSA Interviews with Prime Minister, MoD and MoFA

Day 1,893, 11:33 Published in North Macedonia North Macedonia by Plainswalker

Interviews are always easy on the author, it's the ones giving the answers that do all the hard work. Big thanks to:

JK: eUSA Prime Minister John Killah
E: eUSA Minister of Defense emdoublegee
T: eUSA Minister of Foreign Affairs Tenshibo

P: Hello how are you today?
JK: I'm good thankyou, it's lovely enjoying a day off from work xD
E: Doing decent, thanks!
T: I’m doing quite well, thank you for asking. I had a major Cisco Networking test today which I barely passed, but passed nonetheless, so that helped my day. I also think I destroyed the Stats test I had today. Couple that with the buffalo-chicken omelette I made for lunch, and well I think it’s safe to say I had an awesome day!

P: eUSA is a trial member of CoT, how do you see this going so far?
JK: I think it's going well so far, we've really been laying down some damage for the alliance and we've been reinvigorating the public by starting a war to liberate some CoT allies.
E: I see it going well so far, we're glad to be making new friends, as well as solidifying old ones.
T: It’s going swimmingly. Like joining any alliance, it was a lot of work. And, the need to put in that work certainly didn’t end after we joined (alliances always require lots of effort on all fronts to succeed.) But, I don’t mean to paint a negative picture of this. In fact, I mean quite the opposite; while joining CoT and being a member has taken a lot of effort to make doable, it has certainly been a positive experience that both the eUS and CoT seem to be benefiting from.

P: Have you made new friends in the alliance?
JK: Personally? I think i'm slowly making new friends from nations in the alliance ... it's interested to be able to expand my circle of friends to people I wouldn't normally consider.
E: Yes, we are working to better relations with all CoT nations, even those we haven't been on good terms with in the past.
T: Absolutely. To begin, we rekindled our old friendships with Bulgaria and Chile, which is a huge bonus because both of those countries were great allies and bros with the eUS before we unfortunately found ourselves on opposite sides of the battlefield. I for one had many friends in Chile whom I’m quite glad I now see fighting on the same side as me, as I’m sure my fellow countrymen, and many for CoT countries feel as well.
For truly new friends, it is true too. It is no secret that Macedonia and the eUS were enemies not long ago, but look at us now. We fight for each other, set each other’s campaigns as CoTD when needed, we even do interviews in each other’s papers 😛. This wouldn’t have happened 6months ago, but, now it is. This also extends to the rest of our new-CoT allies as well.

P: What about new enemies?
JK: It's nice shaking things up, sure it'll be hard to see some former allies as enemies because of the past, but this is after all only a game, I will never "hate" them because it's not in my nature. But yes, it's fun having new enemies to fight xD
E: Not that I have seen
T: Probably to Taiwan, yes, but besides that, not exactly. Many of CoT’s enemies were people who, for a long time, have disliked the eUS, and we’ve disliked back. Sure this isn’t true with all the countries we’ve left behind, but for many of them, it has. But, we’re not truly enemies, yet; not until we meet on the field of battle would I say we’ve made truly new enemies.

P: How do the eGreeks and eAlbanians residing in eUSA feel about this latest shift?
JK: It's a tough call, they're split just like the rest of the US - Some of them are in uproar and unhappy about it, while there are others that realise this was on the cards and while not hugely happy about it, aren't causing ructions over it and just want to move forwards.
E: There is definitely some pushback, but there is pushback from people of all nationalities. You're never going to satisfy everyone.
T: I haven’t spoken with many eGreeks about this. The only one I see often doesn’t seem to be angry, but, I can’t say for certain. The eAlbanians are certainly hurt, but, they know we’re not completely abandoning them, and, they also seemed to understand our need for change.

P: Half of the eWorld seems to be PTOed, what is your view on that?
JK: I understand it's part of the game, part of the thrill of taking over another country ... but at the same time, it saddens me. Can you imagine how much more exciting the game could be if these countries had massive native babybooms? 70 independant nations could be a great boon to war and international politics!
E: I would love people to realize this is a game, and if you want to take over a country, have the balls to fight it in battle, don't use political loopholes to do it.
T: It unfortunately just shows the current state of the game. Throughout all of eHistory, PTOs occurred, and many of them implemented multis to assist in the PTO, but, admins would crack down on the multis so that the country could fight back. That is no longer the case unfortunately, and, it will have adverse effects on the community, as it already is.

P: Do you think it's possible to have a three polar eWorld?
JK: That's a tough question, we try but the 3rd alliance always seems to fall towards one of the other alliances to beat a mutual enemy - TERRA allied with EDEN against ONE, CoT allies with TWO against EDEN ... Can we do it? I suppose if the above happened we could :3
E: Sure, why not? If you have enough players who can back it, you can have more.
T: Yes. But, people need to be committed to it. This doesn’t mean everyone needs to allow it, as the two superpowers whom suffer from a third major alliance will certainly do all they can to stop it, however, the countries making the new third alliance need to commit to their alliance, and their priorities. They can assist the other two alliances when it pushes their own goals, but they can’t actively and willingly live under the shadow of another alliance.

P: Having so many foreign players, can eUSA focus its damage?
JK: For the most part, yes we do well in focusing our damage. There are some heavy hitters that don't follow the eUS, namely the Marines, but you can always expect considerable damage from the eUS.
E: Yes and no. We can focus the damage of players in legitimate government MU's, but privately funded MU's can do whatever they want. We don't have control of that.
T: Yes. While we have many foreigners, a lot of them are proud members of our official military, the USAF. They may be foreigners, but their allegiance lies with their MU, not with their place of origin. It is true that many foreigners are part of MUs that don’t fight for the eUS and its prios, however, they attribute to a much smaller percentage compared to the people who do fight for the eUS and its prios.

P: Have you ever fought for eMacedonia?
JK: In the past, you wouldn't catch me doing it. But now, i'm working as hard as most people interested in CoT to prove ourselves as allies, so yes, I have.
E: Yup, sure have.
T: Yes, several times. I don’t have an exact number, but in the past two and a half weeks I have dropped a large chunk of damage for eMacedonia, and have done mass-calls on IRC to ensure that my fellow soldiers do the same. And, they have.

P: Anything else you would like to share with the eMacedonian public?
JK: I'd ask to be patient with us, it's a huge hurdle we're having to overcome given our heated and warring past, but I can assure you that given some time, people will warm to you. Show the people here some compassion and they will return it in kind.
E: Not at this time, just keep rocking!
T: I’m great to have you guys as a new ally, as I hope you are to have allied my country as well 🙂
