Join the new world

After quite the shakeup the theocrats announced, with their sudden campaign to start an exodus to Spain to deal more damage and to cut the costs of the bureaucratic waste produced by a country, this supprise move has excited the former South Korean citizens (the ones the theocrats claimed never existed, but they said the same thing about switzerland 😛) who have begun to flock back to eSK in expects of restarting up companies and remeeting old friends.

The theos however are right in one respect: the eSouth Korean community is pretty much a shadow of its former self. It is disorganize😛 scattered in Russia, eSK, eJapan, all the way out to the coasts of the United States. We are united by a common purpose, but our ends to reach that purpose and the goals we seek to achieve are not quite there yet.

Which is why a group of Spade, Smily, Athasnim, and Yours Truly have decided to plan the following event for any people interested in returning to eSK or are already in eSK:


South Korean Community Town Hall Meeting! \o/


When?: Sunday January 10, 2009 @ 18:00 eRep time (9 EST)

Where?: #eSouthKorea Channel @ IRC Server Coldfront

Why?: For fun, and to get the minds of our people moving to see if anyone is interested...also to take a general tally of who will be joining us this January/Febuary/March in eSouth Korea. If you want to be a part of the community the first step is to either attend the meeting or contact Smily, Spade, or Myself if you cannot make it.

How?: The meeting will be moderated but will allow open and full debate on topics ranging from the economy to politics and everything inbetween. Votes may be cast at the meeting via majority decision of the members present (no cheating 😛) for ways to proceed if we reach impasses or ideas we want to agree on. One person will be asked to record the meeting for those who cannot attend.

Everyone will also be asked to identify their erepublik citizen upon entry to avoid cheating in voting and other proceedures.



A quick beginners guide to IRC Mibbit.com

Go to google.com and type into the search engine "Mibbit.com" (no quotations), go to the first link that appears on the search. Near the bottom of the page that loads from the link you clicked, there is another clickabe link that says "start chatting now" or something of that sort. It will take you to a different page that has boxes and areas for you to type in.

You only need to worry about the top 3 boxes. The first one says "server", for this one it has a dropdown menu....look for the one titled "Coldfront" and choose it. Then you have a box for your nickname, so type in your erepublik name. The last one says channel, for that you type in "#esouthkorea" (without the quotations), then you hit "go" at the end...and you are in!

If you are still interested in being a part of eSK and cannot make it to the meeting, message Smily, Spade, or Myself and well will get you a transcript of the meeting for you as well as any instructions.
