See? Don't they learn soo fast? 😃

As a nation and a people, eSouthKorea has come a long way from where it was two to three months ago, our country has transformed from a oligarchy of theocrats....and slowly into a fully democratic republic with 5 major plurality parties all competing for congress seats and bids at the presidency. With the departure of president Spade due to an (unfortunate) hacking of his account, this gives plenty of opportunity for other candidates to shine through this uncertain period. We still have Andrei lurking around for a presidential bid; Arjay who has arrived into eSouthKorean politics and is continuing his 'project; and the two heavyweights of this election...Aaron-Miller and Peter Delusionist Bae, and both are in a race towards the top for the title of president. Some claim that the race will go to either one of these candidates, but whoever wins will have a very unique and prestigious title to hold.

This will be the truly first democratic race in eSouthKorea, because we all know that for the past 2 elections Spade ran on one very close race with Andrei, but then ran completely unopposed the next. Spade was eSouthKorea's first president, and he was a uniting figure for the country, but one very major aspect about a democracy and our republic is the shift of power from one executive to another. If we can withstand that test of time, we are well on our way to become a more stable and funtional society as a whole, with bickering a sniping partisanship galore!

I personally will not reveal who I am rooting for, but I would like to take this time to wish all of the candidates good luck this exciting and heart-pumping election! Hope you do well April 5th!

The forum:

Getting onto another topic, it doesn't take that much of an exaggeration to say that there was a whirlwind of controversy surrounding the old forum-new forum debate and the 12-15 vote in favor of the new forum. Whatever the community chose, the community chose, and quite frankly few can argue with that except for how close of a vote it came down to. Still, while many voted in favor a few also expressed some concern for the current forum admin and only voted in favor if the adminship would change.

Okay, so what does a forum admin do?

This is what gets a few people confused, the admin is different from a forum moderator, which moderates the forum and stickies/closes threads, maintains "order" on the forum, etc. Basically the forum administrator is the same thing, except for being one level up from that, they have control over all the aspects of the forum, having not only moderator powers but also can rearrange the layout of the forum....so the forum administrator is quite important and a very powerful position that many do not want to be tampered with by politics and partisanship.

So why all the controversy?

Usually when a country starts a new forum, the people (or congress) decide who will have the honor of being the new forum administrator(s), and pretty much they stay forum admin until they retire from there erepublik lives or have another person take their place. But unlike such smooth transitions, this new forum appeared during a crisis situation on the old forum, and with an un-nominated forum administrator as the head many cried a foul or "powergrab". Personally, if these accusations have merit, they will pull their own weight, however it is still controversial to say the least.

Some prefer a more neutral forum administrator who only occasionally gets into politics and government, others prefer one who will just sit things out and not try to get involved, whatever the case....this is an important issue for eSouthKorea's forum future. A present danger is the thought of having a forum admin who will use their position for entirely political reasons rather than in the best interests of the nation.

However, the best case scenario is to instead of trusting someone's acclaim to be neutral, is to judge by past experiences of being neutral on these certain issues, especially with past judgment in running a forum from the top down

Where can I choose and vote for our forum admin?
