eBenelux!

Hello eNetherlands and eBelgium,

My last post was about the return of eUnited Netherlands, there was clearly a group that fully supports and one who totally disliked it. Reunification is something we have to work to for some months to set it all up.

Why don't we at least start to work together more on some points? In real live they founded the Benelux for this. So a less radical plan: let's build for a eBenelux!

In the past eNetherlands was part of EDEN and the CoTWO coalition fighted against them, which was eBelgium part of. We were on paper enemies, but we did not really fight each other. Since the fall of EDEN we have been searching for a new alliance, in a referendum we stated that we wanted to join ASGARD. However not everyone in ASGARD was happy to welcome us.. So why don't eNetherlands join CoT? Most battles we fight in are for CoT countries and we have the same goals now. Both countries in CoT will clearly improve the relation between eNL and eBE and will make eBenelux possible.

What will this eBenelux do?

Since we are two small countries working together will improve our position in the world. So why not start with Defence and Foreign Affairs?

Defence

Imagine eNetherlands and eBelgium fighting together side by side hitting the top damage in a battle. This can be acomplished by having the same orders, so the Ministers of Defence will work together by planning combined strikes. The MoDs will plan the attack together every day and send the orders to the MU leaders using a PM mass message.

Another point to work together at defence is a combined Commune system. We all know that a commune is a place where you work for weapons to fight, instead for the money. The problem is that current communes barely survive and make no profits and give few weapons only. But there are also communes supplying lot's of weapons and being very rich. How they do that? Simple they are much bigger! We need to work together to make profits and to give even more Q7 weapons to our citizens!

Foreign Affairs

Because we are small countries we only have little influence in the eWorld. We should have the same foreign affairs policy. This way we can better maintain diplomatic relations and put ourself at the political map. This will also fix the problem that we have few and inactive ambassadors, there will only be eBenelux ambassadors representing us in every major country.

This are just some simple points to start with. Our countries are divided, we need a new goal to fight for! Together we can acomplish even more than before!

The recent changes in MUs would make fighting together even more possible, especially if both countries were aligned with CoT. This article has some good discussion about why that is so: http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/why-recent-mu-changes-will-change-everything-we-know-about-erepublik-2299578/1/20. Things like planned strikes together would have the added advantage of letting citizens get to know one another and have fun together, a great first step toward closer ties between the countries.

I love the MU can restrict the access by setting "invite access only". It looks so obvious and I never understood why it wasn't the case.

And it's exactly the same for political parties. That would resolve so many things. Letting anyone who wants getting in any political parties is such a weird "game-play" that brings negative consequences (for no real benefits).

Also this game resets the day-counter to 0 every full year.
It starts over and over again. In that game you don't get a chance to build something good.

Good to see that you want to start with small steps it is the best way.
First talk what we can do for each other and what not such as Poland. And CoT is also very related to Asgard so in that way you will fight mostly the same wars.

We would call it eBenelux because we hope the admins will add eLuxemburg! Otherwise it is a sign of respect to those from Luxemburg who live in our countries.
