Yes, it’s true, a vote is currently underway in the eAustralian congress to decide if Aus will AS eCuba. At the time of publication, it appears that the AS proposal will pass easily.

Why? Because Cuba is our friend; they have helped us many times in the past.

Cyprus proposed an AS on Cuba, which was passed at approximately 1000 erep time on day 2792. In response, Australia offered to AS our longtime friends, in order for Aus to hold a region against Cyprus so Cuba is not wiped. The Cuban government was happy to accept.
