CP Term July 2014 Review (1)

Hello, with the start of the new CP term I've decided to start a new series in which I try to cover the ins and outs of the government as its term progresses. This election was a tight one with BigAnt just edging Moriarty and becoming CP for his 4th time.



So with BigAnt in charge the UK was in forward a bit of change to the system. He has promised many things in the eUK which seem popular with the Serbs voting population. However in his first 24 hours, BigAnt has already created a lot of controversy.

MoD

BigAnt has yet to even announce his cabinet in the media but on IRC he made Schmidt MoD for the eUK: http://www.erepublik.com/en/citizen/profile/5263265

However, Schmidt is applying for a place in the HQ of Asteria a rival alliance. This is not what an eUK MoD should be doing as he would be working on both sides and therefore shows no loyalty and he could sell us out. Luckily it appears that BigAnt has fired him but has yet to appoint a replacement leaving us without a MoD.

National MU

One of the promises BigAnt made was to create a national MU. Something the main MUs in this country don't want as we work perfectly well at the moment and have strong, active fighters. However BigAnt turned the Vendetta party MU into the 'UK Armed Forces'. This means that a MU which is for the Vendetta party will be given government funding while claiming to be a 'national MU'. All the other, larger and more active MUs will receive nothing.

Even though the MUs don't support this idea, BigAnt could of at least used the MoD MU to create his little project but instead it shamefully wasted the 1GBP of combat orders I felt in the MU and let it be deleted from the game. This is a MU the MoD has used for months to help run COs from a neutral base but now BigAnt has decided to get rid of it. This means future MoDs will have to use commanders of MUs to set COs in the future or buy a new MU.

This National MU is now also trying to start recruiting from other MUs with the lure of money. While this may tempt some people others aren't as desperate and understand a bad MU when they see one. In these 'surveys' from 'You may call me V/Don Dapper' he claims he is part of the government yet we haven't seen any proof of this from the CP. Is the government keeping the identity of its ministers and deputies a secret or is Dapper lying to our fellow eUKers?





Serbian Voters

BigAnt does not have support of the eUK population despite winning the election. And why is that? Because he has imported voters from Serbia so that he can win. Don't believe me? Look at this:



These are ones from just the last few days. They have been letting them in for a while.




This is not a democracy and Vendetta should be ashamed. Sadly though we can't do anything about it apart from join to together and fight back.



Let's hope the term improves and my next report has many positives in. This government has lots of time to turn it around and show us it is capable of running this country.
