ADTP Human Resources Form

Well, hasn't time passed me by quickly? It feels like just a couple of days ago since I was battling out Darrel Anderson 2 for the position of Party President within the American Defense and Trade Party. For the majority of my campaign, I threw some mud. I threw some trolls. I might have even thrown a piece of dung in there or two. In due time, Darrel Anderson 2 feel under pressure and gave way to me being the official candidate for Party President. Then Pizza the Hut stepped in and tried to PTO the party, but you guys did good and didn't let him.

I had no idea what I was getting into at all. From the outside, being a Party President of any party might seem glamorous or easy. One might thing you could just give all the work to your secretaries. It just doesn't work out that way. You see, you need to devote all your time into being Party President if you want your party to succeed. Unlike other parties though, with the remaining active party members gone for other international aspirations, the ADTP was a dead shell of a party.

That's right. If you think about it, it was pretty much like starting a new political party altogether, except that it didn't rip me off forty gold, and it was already a Top 5 Party. With the latter being said, I had a lot of responsibilities put on my shoulder that were hard to manage that newer parties didn't have to. I knew I couldn't do it alone, so I had the much needed help of peers. They turned out to be an asset I could not go without.

Welcome to the confessions of an American Defense and Trade Party mastermind.

Recruitment and Retention

Coming into this task, recruitment and retention were my first priorities. You see, the first thing someone sees on a Party page is how many members they have. This number is a very vague way of looking at a party because you don't know how much of that number is active, and the other inactive. A party is defined by it's members. No quality members is a direct clue that the party stinks.

The energy from a party comes from its newbies. The ADTP did not hesitate to start mass mailing to attract these crucial members before the other Top 5 Parties got to them. We started the first day I got into office, and we haven't looked back. My Vice Party President, Ibnroshed2, was heading the Recruitment and Retention team this term, and he designed a mass messaging schedule for all of the recruiters.

With the cooperation of our volunteering recruiters, we have seen a great increase in the amount of active players within the American Defense and Trade Party. We have seen a boom in discussion and inquiries about how to become further involved within this great party, and a Party President loves to see that. I feel that the best part about our R&R team is that we are consistent. They mass message everyday without break in a secret cage in my hut. That's dedication!

Media Push

In the last couple days, the ADTP has started a small little media campaign in regards to trying to obtain the interests of other citizens. Recent United States Oli Cromwell has taken the position of heading the media division, and I think he has been doing a solid job. Unfortunately, due to him and his Brit ways, he can't do everything by himself. We are always looking for contributing writers for the ADTP media team, and if you are interested, contact Oli or me about it!

Poor Number in Congress

For this Congressional Elections, the Amer. Defense and Trade Party only got four members into Congress. That was not that as high as I projected. Of the members that did get in, they are representing the party well. For the next Congressional elections, I will continue my role and Political Director and will get more members into Congress.

The reason we did not get many members in Congress was because not many of them applied. After the elections, the ADTP set up an early candidate thread where we could project how many would decide to run. We have over 20 wanting to run. Let's see how many of them get in this time.

ADTP Member Surge of 10/30/10

This will be a day I will never forget. I always wanted the ADTP to think outside of the box in regards to recruiting in order to attract new members. On 10/30/10 the ADTP saw in abnormal influx of new members. Twenty-eight members joined that day! It was significant enough for us to be pushed from the #5 party behind SEES to the #3 party above United Independents Party. To gain this members was my fault, and my fault alone.

You see, we didn't mass message or even write an article that day. Instead, I was up on the military channel recruiting. I pinged tens of military personnel asking for their interest in joining the American Defense and Trade Party. Many of them showed interest and joined while others did not. The point was that I broke military rules by even pinging people. I thought it would be a good idea, but alas, never be too ambitious and go around breaking rules. I was banned from the Training Corps room. I am sorry for my negligence, and I hope you accept my sincere apology.

HobbitTon for Take Two?

Many of you have been wondering if I will be running for a second term as American Defense and Trade Party Party President. While many of you may be sick of me already, I have so much enthusiasm and ideas left that I cannot accomplish this term. With that being said, I have learned my mistakes, so I am planning on running for a second term as ADTP PP. Be on the lookout for more information about this later. I will not disappoint anyone next term if I am elected. I will promise you that.

Useless Jargon

The American Defense and Trade Party endorsed Alexander Hamilton for President of the United States. Get him elected!
