Politics
Day 1,351 of the New World
Cerb sat down with me over some Milk Bones and three bowls of water.

I asked the questions I figured my readers would ask if they had the same opportunity. Here's how it went:
If AMP wins a majority of congress next month, what changes do you expect?

I think this situation is analogous to RL politics, in that the extremes from each party tend to get the most attention from the 'press', so to speak. In reality, I don't think the voting bloc of the AMP is radical or disagreeable. It just depends who leads the way. If it's someone like Jason the Great or Leroy Combs, I expect an AMP-led Congress would be fairly agreeable. However, if some of the fringe elements take an ideological hold, we could see more extreme results. I've heard some talk about moving the eUSAforums or disbanding the USAF. These would be pretty terrible measures, in my opinion.

Keeping the moderates in charge is generally healthy for any party, I think.
Will AMP attempt to reinstate the JCS as the primary Military Unit?

It's possible, but unlikely. Realistically, the same sort of concern about Pfeiffer is the same thing that keeps people like seeinvoices and John Jay from getting into Congress too often. Moderates are much more popular right now. I don't think anyone wants an all-out political war between the military and paramilitary units. Serbia is a very real threat, one that requires a united front to deal with.
If TERRA repeats its poor performance like during the Glove administration, how will you respond as CP?

I'm not going to say TERRA is too big to fail, because it isn't, but I'd like to see it kept intact if possible. However, if it returns to its old problems, a dissolution of TERRA and creation of a new alliance would become necessary. eRep alliances have a finite lifeline.
What Nation within ONE is the weakest link?

I'm going to go with FYROM. They continue to be a distraction, preventing ONE from focusing on their important fronts. Any alliance is typically brought down by 1 ultra-selfish member, and that could very well be the case here.
Which ONE Nation do you see as most likely to drop out of ONE?

It's remarkable how difficult it is to maintain a meta-alliance. Partially this is a function of the fictional setting, and the rest of it is that there is no international commerce linking nations to each other. As to the members of ONE, I'd normally say Spain. They've been losing a lot over the past few months, but they can't leave because France hates them. Sweden is not really a huge ONE member, and they will probably bail if they can ever settle the score with Russia.
What is your favorite doggy treat?

Pig ears are delicious.

Oh, you like the chewy stuff?

I like a challenge.

Eating your own shits isn't much of a challenge, so I'm guessing you don't go there?

Right.
OK, well thank you. I will get this out ASAP.
