Blast from the Past - Round 1: eCanada's Granny

I'm a nostalgic old fart and every now and then I look back and laugh at the old days.
To share a bit of the old days here's a scavenger hunt with some cc rewards.
All you have to do is answer the questions by commenting on this article before anyone else answers them. Open to eCanadian community only.
Note: I will only grant the maximum reward for each question. A partial answer is entitled to a partial reward, and the rest of the answer will remain eligible for the remainder of the reward.
Each round there will be 5 new questions plus the unanswered questions from previous rounds. The round will last until another Blast from the Past article is released.
Since these are old references, the newer players are at a disadvantage. Players that are 3+ years old will only be allowed to participate in the questions that are unanswered from previous rounds, i.e. they cannot participate this round.
Shout out to those who are 3+ years!
Without further ado, here is Round 1: eCanada's Granny.

Update: Addy Lawrence explained the Granny Grain industry perfectly. Actually there is another reference I'm looking for so the full 300cc is still up for grabs. Hint: it's tied to Question 2, but still requires more digging.

I guess the picture is reference to Jacobi being replaced as DoF after killing Granny?
There's a also a pillow in the picture, so he's obviously killing Granny but what is Granny back then 😛.
I guess Granny is either V1 or the economy.

Some people may not even get the right answer because grain is not an element in game mechanics anymore. eCan's grain industry is grandma and Jacobi was proposing increased taxation in this industry relative to the other industries that existed at the time.
Granny is eCanada v1 it seems.

Then I figured out what that picture is actually about.

Well, now I feel old. 😛
The nurse symbolizes the Director of Finance, Jacobi.
The patient symbolizes eCan's grain industry.
It is implied that the nurse is euthanizing grandma in the photo and Jacobi's proposed taxation of the grain industry, which was discriminatory at the time because the other industries would have enjoyed a lower tax rate, was effectively killing a domestic industry. Grain producers would have to increase wages to employees to keep them as they could slide over to a wood/titanium/oil/iron company and receive a higher net pay. At increased wages, the grain industry would no longer be competitive.
Jacobi was removed from office over this, and I got the wonderful opportunity to work with Chucky Norris. The "Beige Agenda" was the response from the Executive Branch to calm fears. Doing rash things exacerbated the problem, if you stayed calm, you could make a lot of money in that pre-V2 period.
The Beige Agenda was not a party. I do not recall who put this in their banner, but I would hazard a guess that it was DAL.
This is a fun trip down memory lane, when we actually had an economy.
It's quite sad. Really demonstrates what a shell this game has become as of late, yet here we are still. Good to see you lurking a bit Addy.

3) 1ronman appears to have been a BH whore for Canada. He stole a bunch of gold from Canada and then tanked against Canada for the UK on day 950, for which he won yet another BH. He first blamed a friend for it. He then blamed his grandmother for logging in and tanking for the UK because "she was actually born in Britain". This had been suggested in a post made by Green Hawk at 14:51 of day 950.
