Join the new world

Morning All,

So the CRU has now officially santioned me to stand for them at this month's CP elections,this is my first time standing for such a place and thus I felt I should post a little piece to speak about this.

Who Is BaskB?


Most of you have probably seen me up on the damage charts each week but I expect only a few actually know anything about me.

I'm an old erep player starting way back in 2009 in my native eUK (yes I'm a Brit by birth). I will admit my own memory is vague of events, but I do recall I first came here back in the days of the Communist occupation as the situation in the eUK was a bit dull for a new player like me. Back then I was heavily into the economic module that erep had (yes it actually had one!) and eCZ was the perfect place for a small business man to get going and started.

It was during this time I met Vlad & Red Duck among others and my love of this place grew. I was here and actually a founding joiner of the now ill fated eCSFR and it was after this my interest in erep as a whole subsided.

After a stint back in eUK I came back to help remove the then PTO by Macedonians and been here pretty much since then. Always actively helping out when I can. My Dmg record (https://www.erepublik.com/en/citizen/profile/2110608) further proving my commitment to this country.

So why CP?

Mainly because I want to take a more active role in Gov, I've been congress member numerous times and feel this is the next logical step. Gold I'm not bothered about and this will be donated to the gov accounts if I win, but I will admit the medal would also look nice.

Is this a PTO attempt

No far from it, I've been here along time now, fought for you and under you all, and am very actively follow MOD orders to assist our allies. My Dmg record week by week shows I'm active and I want to help out.

In addition I've been extremely impressed by the current gov and would love to see this continue.

So what are your plans?

Well I could make all sorts of bold promises here, baby boom etc etc, but I'm a realist, erep has missed it's boat now on baby booms and innovation and thus it would be impossible to make such promises.

What I would say though is that I aim to be as active as possible, informative to the people as possible of all scenarios and keep up the fantastic work that this current gov has done.


Defence - Would be essential that the weekend training continues as is, the events have been great fun and extremely useful for our allies and this is essential to keep our friends happy and show that as a country we can contribute to our allies, even if only a small amount. Were not a country of big hitters, so coordinated strikes are a great way to pool our strength and use wisely.

MPP's - these need to continue and am pleased to see these increasing. Am happy to contribute some of my own CZK to see these continue as a nation we need DO's to benefit all and having big allies gives us these.

I'd like to first off add that I'd be extremely interested in hearing from the current MoD & dMoD as to whether you'd be willing to continue your roles due to the amazing activity you have shown this month.

In Closing

I hope you'll allow me to take on this role this month and I'll be doing my utmost to keep what community we have left here active and "in the know" of wider events.
