Hello everyone.!

In case you did not realise, we are 43 days away from the 3rd international meeting of eRepublik which will be held in Thessaloniki, Macedonia, Greece.
As everything is almost set up, we decided to give the chance to those who will attend the meeting to choose the names of the shots that we will all drink.
We are sure that most of you remember the eRepublik drink that Plato had prepared for us in Bucharest last December. This time we are taking it to a whole new level. We have 3 shots that are waiting to be given a name and it is up to you to choose it.
We, as a team, will check and erase the inappropriate names. After that, a new form will be provided so that all the players will vote the best 3 names that YOU have chosen! And those shots will be available in the bars we have carefully selected for all of us.

Last but not least, the players who proposed the 3 winning names, will get 10 gold each.

Start thinking of a name and propose it within a week as the competition expires on the 23rd of May.

We got inspired by the events in eRepublik and we decided to add one more little contest : The MU that will win the tournament will receive a special price at the meeting: one secret drink will be named after the winner!!!

The drink will be named after the MU and will be present in the drinks list of the bars, along with its avatar.

May the best MU win and we will drink in its honor!

Important Note: The law on alcohol in Greece is strict and strongly forbids the consumption of alcohol by underaged citizens or visitors, the current age limit is at 18. In case your own country has a lower age limit for Alcohol consumption be advised that the Greek law is the one that the whole event will abide too, no exceptions are permitted. Also requesting an adult to purchase alcohol for you is illegal and pertains sanctions for both parties.

While I respect what you're saying, allow me to contradict you. Political or not, active or not, from Macedonia or from the North Pole, the only conditions necessary for attending a meeting are:
1. you want to (mind=blown)
2. you have the means to (mind=blown)
3. you set your priorities according to your principles so that you manage to squeeze a weekend away from all else and be with people who share an interest (mind=blown).
Overcomplicating things is admirable to some extent, it shows creativity and a genuine interest in the activity one is pursuing. But only if one is able to detach oneself at some point.

I am sorry to hear you don't seem willing to come to the meeting. Maybe a future one, with a location more to your liking....

I don't know why my comment was deleted? What I said was not offensive at all, just the pure truth.

This meeting should not be considered as a eRepublik meeting since it is full of RL political propaganda towards the Macedonians.

It is clear to me that the Macedonians are not welcomed.

This is a party where people should meet, to have a lough, to exchange life experiences. But no, you have to involve RL politics and to provoke even in this.

In RL, in Macedonia, we have been host to many eRepublik players from Greece and we have never provoke them and we have always treated them with respect.

I don't see what in this article is offensive to you, I'm sorry. I know only a small part of the historical, political (or however else you want to categorize it) background and that there's an issue here somewhere. I will not comment upon that at all, now or ever. Not because I don't care (that would sound bad, wouldn't it?) but because I obviously haven't got 1% of the facts. I keep seeing comments from both parts and even as an utter outsider I see how they can be offensive. But I truly feel the articles that have been written about this meeting (including this latest one) are friendly, welcoming, interactive and nice.

I'm a pretty realistic person and I am positive there will always be issues, no matter what. None of us are truly capable of making everyone happy. That's why I take the fact that some people genuinely have trouble accepting the background of this meeting rather lightly, without wanting to seem ignorant.

Some people can get past things, others cannot. I accept everyone's opinion (ofc, as long as it's expressed in a decent way).

What I am trying to understand is why you do not feel welcome, when it's been said on many occasions that everyone is welcome. I mean literally *everyone*. There's nothing we would like more than to see you all at the meeting to do exactly what you mentioned in your comment. And by "we", I mean the team that's trying to put this thing in place. Cause this team is working really hard to come up with a fun meeting and I hate to see that the attention is drawn to places where I for one don't want to go.

Whoever is ready and willing to come to this meeting or any other meeting that's organized in the world is more than welcome.
For those who don't, maybe future meetings will have a subjectively better background and they won't feel stressed about it.
It's not the end of days, but I would sure like it if there was more understanding, tolerance and ability to be relaxed about things.

I very much appreciate the effort and the time that people have invested in organizing this event.

All your efforts unfortunately will go down the drain due to one simple banner. Our Greek friends just had to rubbed in. They know exactly what will provoke us and they did it on purpose. That to me is NOT inviting nor to the rest to the Macedonian community.

Nevertheless have fun and hope to see you next time in a more inviting environment.

Honestly, i do not mean to be rude or something like that.
But the one that is provoking here it is you my friend..
who mentioned anything about your country?
you can clearly see in every map worldwide everywhere that this is the name given to the northern part of Greece.. i can see no propaganda apart from the one you are provoking.
This is a meeting and just a meeting.No one is in the mood of arguing over RL facts..This is a game and the meeting is to get to know each other in person and have as much fun as possible..
Thessaloniki was chosen because it is close to many Balkan countries and beyond..Easily accessible by any means of transport.
If you feel not welcomed allow me to disaggree with you. We are trying our best to make everyone happy but this kind of behaviour only shows us that some people just dont want to be happy and want only to provoke. If my word-that no propaganda is related to this article-is not enough for you and the small part of your co-citizens, i am really sorry to hear that you will not be able to attend the meeting...It is your loss as far as i am concerned.
However,some fellow citizens of yours are really happy and excited about the meeting and do not see any propaganda...
I repeat that everyone is welcomed.
