Baby Boom
Bholenath
With reference to 'this is just the beginning' from Mavo's? article, I think if we are going to have an increase in military activity, we should as well try to pull off a baby boom with it.
Yes, I know we have made countless failed attempts at it but there has emerged a huge difference between real life India in 2009 and in 2015. Back in those days Indians did not use the internet as much, we had the slow 2G, time was burnt playing FB games and IMing strangers and back then, the best advertising options eIndians had was spamming gaming and defence forums, sharing facebook posts and once we even made a propaganda website.
But times have changed. Indians have moved way beyond facebook and are always looking for some new source of fun, so much so that even substandard websites like SchoopWhoop with pathetic posts have gained a lot of traction. In the nutshell, in my opinion, if introduced to it, Indian netizens are more ready than ever to embrace a game such as erep. Brazilians did it a few years ago, so can we. Erep having a mobile site helps.
More importantly, a shift has also occurred in the financial status and disposition of Indians. Not only have people grown richer, more of them are now willing to spend their money on games and online pleasures. Just five years ago, all this would have seemed outright absurd to most of us.
This game would be a novel thing for Indians and the time is therefore ripe for us to push for a baby boom. We can use methods such as chain WhatsApp messages/pics/vids, pay a site like SchoopWhoop or some other popular blog to feature this game, talk to eRep admins and get them to tie-up with payment sites such as Paytm or MobiKwik (and maybe get the admins to financially help our cause too), rejuvenate IRC, battles preferably with ePakistan and eChina, play dictatorship to our advantage, reinstate supply and mentor programmes, some awesome graphic designers and video editors. Notwithstanding the advertisement channel we use, we should be careful not to be too misleading or dubious as internet laws are being increasingly enforced in India.
Of course, all this would require a lot of community participation and we have too many players in the 2-click mode but that's a challenge ever faced by every country striving for a BB. What we lack in number, we shall make up in strength of our will.
I have written this article specifically for a public discussion on this proposal (and imho we should have more such open discussions.) Please share your opinions and suggestions.

first!
now throw me the ladies to impregnate.
Yeah! That's some good discussion! 😃
I was trying to start a mentor programme back a few days in August, and it was even passed by Vijay and witty, bt then my exams hindered and I had to sabotage the progress made.. But I postponed it to October. So, as soon as I get free in October, I'll start the preparations for it, will get Seniors helping the process, though it will take some time around a month, but it shall be up and running by November.. 🙂
I truly agree with ur article, and I appreciate the efforts being made, bt many players in eIndia as u said are lazy, and it'll be very difficult to engage them, though we can continue encouraging them.. 🙂 Bt it will take a lot of time to make even 20% of these lazy population involved, though it will help us a lot..
I myself try to help newbies and bring in players, bt this game is uninteresting for most of the people I target.. :/ Maybe they just don't like strategy.. Anyways, I'll continue my efforts and will post suggestions and other thoughts once I come up with them.. 🙂
very nice suggestions! will get the Pizza man to look atthis! o7

Ever increasing gap between old and new players....the major reason why most new users quit
Not true. Back in V1, there was little hope for any new player to ever get a BH as there was always an unsinkable strength gap between old and new players and there was no rounds or divisions system. These days BHs come much easier.
Anyway, what I have observed over the years that most of the Indians who have played this game in the past is because of the game community and least because of the War module (perhaps this is why India can never hope to have a BB? Perhaps we Indians intrinsically want for social interaction and not wars and fights, which is the only thing now catered to by this game?)
sounds like a plan
I like the idea of tapping new media. I have already been saying off late that we need some multimedia content first and foremost.
Anyone willing to make some videos, compile some images to start with - of us fighting for regions, a gif of the map, etc etc - I'd be willing to sponsor in any way they like.
I understand that getting people to move their asses has always been an issue - it's been the same since V1 days ! What I have always pushed for & even more so lately, now that I have some funds to throw around, is making Incentive Programs. While in an ideal world people would work for their community, it's not always that simple for the bulk of the players. So if you're not keen on working for free, work for your own advancement I say !
You guys have to take the initiative though; the offer remains from my end. Generate competitions for active participation in media, in politics, in baby boom efforts, in coordinated battles & I will gladly sponsor through Infantry, Blitz & Power packs or just weps & food donations if need be. \o/

Haha nice touch. 😉 Who were you back in V1 btw. You've obviously been around as much as I have if not more ! Very few folks refer to me as Mavo anyway. 😉
