And What Makes a Community

Day 2,566, 22:04 Published in Australia Argentina by Wakaleo

Sitting here with some time on my hands, reading articles from Australia & other places, I started wondering about communities. Here is not RL Australia by any means, but there should be some points of similarity.
There are people from other eCountries as part of our community - and in many ways this strengthens us.

Yet I feel that a RL Australian who has left our community always has that pull, to return. While citizens from other places have that pull to leave - just looking at the New Citizens I see, recent arrival - next thing they have left - I wonder why 🙁 I think you should join a community expecting to stay for the long haul.
Maybe it is the same language spoken, but not really getting what Australian culture & community is about - similar to UK, Ireland, Canada US etc yet different in small but telling ways.
What we consider is important they don't and vice versa.
I was reading a poem - its about Australian comics, in Newspapers, from the old days (ie pre Vietnam, after which everything changed. I came in on the tail end of all that)
I am going to inflict it on you - you don't have to read, but it touched a chord with me. Gen Y'rs would have NFI about what it is on amout - & I don't know if that is funny or sad.

I will post in in another article - maybe its an allegory about the good times of our (eAustralia's community)
