Ancient time and Kshana samyam
Patanjali
Another view about time and time succession:
“ ksana tat kramayoh samyamat viveka-jam jnanam ”
By samyama over the moments and their succession, there comes the higher knowledge that is born from discrimination.
Patanjali, Yoga SUtra
History is, generally, about time and deeds that occurs in this dimension of our lives.
Sometimes “time” is hard to endure, because, we say, life is hard and sometimes unjust. In addition, if we read some wise books, at the end life is only a long chain of suffering and pain.
To those we must remind this:
Frodo: "I wish the Ring had never come to me. I wish none of this had happened."
Gandalf: "So do all who live to see such times but that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us."
About India many have theorized considering either that the subcontinent appeared after a piece of Gondwana (the forest of the Gondav) collapsed with Asia, while others considered that Lemuria was flooded by ocean and so just a part of it remain at the surface.
Then, especially Germans, trying to achieve a glorious past for them, insisted with the Arian theory (them presumed origin – about how much Germans steeled regarding origins, other time). The mighty western civilization that finally came to India and civilized the “poor” humans living in Mohenjo Daro, Harappa and Dholavira.
Interesting part is that today Tamil Nadu speakers stress themselves to demonstrate that from there (south India) really came the civilization, those humans that lived in Lemuria and who, after that sunk (flood) went in the world to found the civilizations of Mesopotamia, Egypt, China, the Americas, Europe, and, in particular, the Indus Valley.
How our friend Vijayakrishna say (talking about what a Nation mean), we must understand that boxes and labels are not natural to humans and must be avoided.
After all those long forgotten facts (history, them too) India got to face another great challenge, the invasion of Europeans that came with the army of Alexander (Iskander) the great and that lead to a Indo Scythian kingdom in north west India.
Therefore, the never-ending struggle between kingdoms in India got, once more, a new sense and dimension. That because to defeat Iskander was not enough for Indian kingdoms, but they have to live with the remains of he’s empire as neighbors.
After that Iranians came to India, after them Mongols, which became Muslims, and where known as Mughal’s. That last named invasion was, probably one of the most bloody military conquest in the human history (only slaves where over 70 millions). That apart of destroying all the University’s form north India.
This lead us, eventually to those two prominent figure of modern India, Bose and Ghandi.
One chose to act, by force and fight to conquest the freedom and liberty of India and Indian nation.
tū shēr-ē-hind āgē baṛ
marnē sē tū kabhī nā daṛ
Ūṛākē dushmanō kā saṛ
jōsh-ē-vatan baṛāē jā
The other chose Anarchy, self-restraint and peaceful protest.
That lead me to the conclusion that the ancient wisdom of Patanjali is already forgotten.
For the eHistory, I invite you to read, again or not, those:
The Immortals of DaKsha
The time of Nagas and Rajas
Ava lok Ishwara
Still waiting the elders to help me writing this eHistory.
Lord Bernin is the only one that show interest in this project, and that make him honour.

It was the Afghans who destroyed temples & universities.
The Mughals, who were descendants of Timur & Changez Khan, came to rule NOT to plunder the wealths.
But to add, the last invasion came in form of "East India Company" where British came as traders and took "White man's burden".
They destroyed the efficient tax collection system, then took all the wealth & finally became reason of partition of India.
I may wrong about that part, my friend, but please explain me better the episode with Afghans invasion, because I found only the version in which mongols descendants did it.
Brits did not destroy only the tax system but, more important I believe, the educational system and, thus, the future of India. They invented christian schools and claimed that European fashion and rules is what everybody must adopt.
In few words, Patanjali was forgotten.
Mahmud of Ghazni and Muhammad Ghori were the Afghans..
During Mughal reign, Huns and Nadir Shah also invaded India
You know Education System was not the worst when we see that there is order and discipline now, and ofourse its not the best as there i "Over" Strictness and "Too-Much" dependence on Books and 'Practicality' , Almost completely erasing the fact that Man became Man by gaining knowledge from his surroundings.. Ofc, Every Coin has too sides.
And you know, the ones who r really destroying the edu system is not Mughals or British or Vedic Priests, its CBSE.. Stupid Laws.. Stupid Criterion to gain and give marks and too much work!!
Mughal dynasty was established in India by Babur and it was him who destroyed temples and universities
Nope, it was Nadir Shah.
Read history again and again, destruction of cultural and knowledge centres started with Ghazni Muhammad and continued till conquest of babur, they wanted loot, mughals were conquerors for sure but not oppressors like their predecessors. They were muslim by faith, they behaved so. It was our fault to let them in.
Were we not fighting within ourself before they came? How many Vishnu temples did Cholas destroy? What about clashes on basis of Siva n Vishnava which were in peaks, din't aadi Shankara Charya try to diffuse them? It's ok if brothers fight but not ok if someone else comes and beats up both? Were these clashes not reason behind our fall?
Yup, I support the fact that we didn't deserve not to be conquered or attacked. But I was just saying that Mughals too, atleast Babur did destroy a great number of indigenous Cultural Treasures. Ofcouse all his successors tolerated all religions to a great extend, but I would not go with the same opinion in Babur's Case. Vishroid, Yes Nadir Shah did a great deal in the "Act", but Babur's Contribution is also of Considerable Importance and Magnitude.
And Vijay you were exactly right, A Smaller Army of Babur wouldn't have won the 1st battle of Panipat if not for the insider support he got from India. It definitely is over fault that the Mughals could set their Rotos here. All I wanted to say was, Babur just like Nadir Shah and Tipu has played a part in The "Attack on Indigenous Faith and Culture". Maybe it was their sense to oppress or maybe they were just trying to spread the Persian and Afghan culture they brought, we dont know. But we should accept, If India were still divided in Kingdoms and a Mughal Empire never came up, then the Magnitude of Destruction would have been much higher. We may not even have got the freedom we enjoy today.
Tipu??
Tipu Sultan of Mysore
Tipu sultan was Indian, noob ananthu..
😛
He was a member of a Persian Family, He destroyed many Temples to the south, Lots in Kerala
If a seed from a plant of a garden is planted in another garden, and produces its offspring in the same garden, the offsprings never ask about the previous garden, no matter how fertile it may be.
In same manner, Tipu's previous generations were Indian, not persian..
Let me ask a different question then. Who destroyed the "viharas" and the University's that sustained them ?
Who is, in fact, the distroyer of Bihar culture ? And responsible of what is it today ?
Destruction and creation are two faces of same coin.
If a thing has been created, it has to be destroyed.
And it is also true that a respectable person always holds his religion, culture and nation in high regards.
It was the clash of the cultures which destroyed the viharas and the universities.
The Bihari culture, comprised the Bhojpuri, maithili, magadhi & other language group people.
It was never a separate culture but a mix of other cultures.
It combined old (magadhi culture) & new (bhojpuri culture), and gave birth to a stronger culture which all the people in the area could accept.
My dear eSaint, you remember the maha kalpa? endless time being counted in form of days Bhrahma has? Everything that reaches it's pinnacle once, will fall, even the Bhrahma does.
I think you can understand the below line, it is in Telugu
E Desa charitra chusina E munnadi, garva karanam?
Nara Jaathi charithra samastham para peedana parayanathvam
(What is there to pride in any history of any nation? Human history is full of harassment by others)
It was there for Hebrew, only thing is, we faced it in our own lands.
The universities were burnt and what ever was salvaged, lost due to our over protectiveness. There are many instances where people used to hide ancient scripts on attic, away from people, even their own children, it was not until some English officers took notice of the knowledge in them and started collecting them.
Remember story of Archimedes? or what happened to Pythagoras school?
I don't care about our history. Lets create history!
What is the sense of existence then, if you dont care about history ? Same question could be oposed to you 30 years later, by a youngster like you today. Would that mean that your existence was in vain ? Or, in other words, how would you like to be treated/remembered by the young ones when you go ageing ?
"All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us."
Why should I be remembered? We only live once!
"When a son does something great, his father becomes proud.
Likewise, when a father gains success, his son gains knowledge."
History is the same..
Leave wittless alone, he is a different breed 😛
hmmmm
