A Nice break from the Fighting
With all the fighting going on one might think, that I too would and an article calling out someone for doing something, however I will not be doing so, instead I offer you an interview with the current eUSA President, and a few thoughts.

Citizen Name: Alexander_Auctoritas

What do you prefer to be called your eRepublik name or something else, if
something else what?

Well, my nickname is an omage to Alexander the Great, with Auctoritas meaning 'Authority.' I would like to lead the USA into glorious victory against her foes. One down, five to go.

What brought you to this game?

I was doing searches for online games, because I was looking for one that I could play not in real time. I never let myself play WoW or other MMORPG's because i didn't want to get lost in the game. Thankfully, if I do not want to get tied up in erep, I just dont.

Have you always been in eUSA or did you start off in another eCountry

Always been in eUSA, but have considered living abroad for a while.

How active of a player are you?

Between myself and my callbot, we are usually in about 146 IRC channels, give or take. It allows me to be in contact with many people from many different countries.

What would you say is your greatest achievement so far as a member of eUSA?

As a member of the Cavalry, I helped start the food distribution program there. Obviously, food distribution has become a huge part of the game, and it was fun to be there when it began. As president: http://i56.tinypic.com/atro6r.png

You have been the first person to be elected for two consecutive terms as president since I joined back in mid may, how do you feel about that accomplishment?

I am pleased that the citizens allowed me to finish what I began. I always intended to run for a second term, and it is always fulfilling to be given the second month. I hope my successor can build on the momentum that I have given them.

How do you feel about some of the divisions talked about between the heads of the military?

I think the main issue at this point is whether the eUSA needs to revamp how it distributes funds. I am told that an MU influence based system for distributing funding is working in other countries. The US has always leaned heavily upon a strong military, but with the MU, we are less and less able to directly control all fighting forces in the country. It's not that we 'need' control, but it is essential to have good coordination if we are to be an effective fighting force overall.

Since it was connected to my first piece in the white house paper, how do you feel about Gnilraps council?

I am pleased with the work he is doing to further our domestic agenda. I have given him complete autonomy to do as he sees fit.

How do you feel about the victory in Spain?

Any Plans for that day when you term ends?

Nothing concrete yet, but something is coming.

I hope you will join me in working with our Pacific brethren in bringing the second country to justice on the ONE hit-list.

Thoughts on some of the fighting
Now I have been involved in my fair share of in game fights, but this isn't about me, this is about the fights I've seen pop up in recent days, a player by the name of Elizabeth Jones [who a few sources say is actually a man], has began to attack members of the government, including a friend of mine portcolumbus, some of her attacks on the merit of a joke made on the radio about shooting pizza the hut, when in no regard was anyone serious about, I was there. In responce to EJ's article several others have popped up calling her out.

In addition to this issue, today I see an Issue between Kara Beth and some members of the Feds, I have read over this article and will only comment that it seems to have started off with something that got over blown a little and has led to this. I will not be taking sides in this dispute, but she like anyone seeking a party would always be welcome in the Revolutionary Party.

Second Chances
Since this seems to be a game where the Admins give second, third, and possibly forth chances to players who have broken rules.

I would like to add something that connects to my party, the Revolutionary Party, that we will strive to give players second chances in the political party system, should things not have worked out for them in another party for what ever reason.

Final Thoughts and Quote of the Article
It has been if nothing else an interesting last couple days, between the fights between others and even my own, congressional sign ups, and the new battle with Indonesia opening up, and I feel they need to be defeated not only for our own duty and for the land they took from us during that horrible time of our country, but for the ePeople of eAustralia, who have been victims of the Indo threat for far to long.
