Join the new world

Dear citizens of the eNetherlands,

It's been a few days since the election and we wanted to publish an update of what has been happening in government since then so here it is. 😃



CP Update and Thank You

Since the beginning of the term, there has been a lot of brainstorming, a lot of saying thank you to various representatives of other nations who message you with information on the nation they represent, and congratulations on being elected President. We have a lot of secret foreign affairs meetings, we pick on the vice president a lot for being a cheeky squirrel. We all get drunk at night on Wine we stole from Iron & Wine. I occasionally use my Presidential authority to get women into bed with me, and spend countless hours staring at IRC chatrooms wondering, what the heck people see in this.

But in seriousness, thank you to all 62 of you that voted for me, it means a lot to me on some deep OCD level of gaining gratification from winning an election in this game.

P.S. As I keep hyping it, once again place your bets on the coming Cabinet Mortal Kombat!



Defence

Much has been achieved in the defence sector the previous months, and the eNetherlands has had its share of wars too. Does that mean the Ministry of Defense can sit back this month? Nope, there's still a lot to do.

The war with Norway has shown that we're capable, but that there's much we can do to improve the efficiency of our defence apparatus. Focus for this month is to improve this efficiency by dealing with several issues internally. Those issues include continuing the restructuring of DAF, the Dutch Armed Forces, into the main military unit for all Dutch citizens with access to all related facilities the government has to offer to Dutch soldiers. Commander Walhallah has done an excellent job on this so far, and I'm sure he'll continue his work. Our spare Military Unit(s), won't be sold, but will be used as channel to funnel in government-funded Combat Orders. This way there's a clear divide between the national Military Unit serving the eNetherlands (DAF), and a clearly governmentally led MU for emergency/financial affairs during wars. We will also set up a database with strong hitters for every division, with their communication channels so that we can call them up for war when necessary. Lastly, Ministry of Defense will, in cooperation with Garmr, set up an opportunity for several strong eDutch citizens to work in American communes and Military Units, which will net them valuable salaries.

Externally, it might not get as entertaining as during the war with Norway, but there's still a lot for us to come this month. Our North Sea Alliance will give us plenty of adventures close to home, and a possible friendly AirStrike might be possible in the coming days.



Foreign Affairs

We as Foreign Affairs have been busy in first days already; we began to set up a priority list for this month. Our main goal this month is improving relations with Aurora nations. We've already managed to get into the Paraguayan and Mexican media; these articles aren't yet published, but will in a few days.

Today (9/6/2014) Italy joined Aurora officially, as I heard from a friend of mine. I contacted the Secretary-General of Aurora right after that, asking about the voting round in general. He explained me everything and said that unfortunately only one country can join Aurora per month. We're currently checking out if that's true because we cannot find that rule back in the Charter.

As you can see we've done quite some things already in the first 3/4/5 days. Soon we'll publish some interview with high officials from Aurora countries, just like previous month my predecessor Lancer did.



N$PP

Arcanic Mindje, the Leader of Dutch N$PP Operations, has been working a lot with our N$PP allies over the past few days given recent developments in our region. Citizens should keep an eye out for some interesting things to come very soon.
